As has been discussed elsewhere, the planned benefit concert following the Manchester Attacks is taking place this Sunday and the BBC have announced it will be broadcast live on BBC One from 6pm.

News just in: @ArianaGrande will play a tribute concert in Manchester on Sunday 4th June. One Love Manchester. Sunday. 6pm. @BBCOne.

I'm really glad it's getting a high profile TV broadcast! It deserves maximum exposure. I'm glad to see so many high profile names coming together for this at such short notice as well.

There's bound to be one or two surprised additions as well! It will be interesting to see what songs they choose as well because they need to get the tone of defiance yet not disrespectful right.

The BBC One programme will be presented by Sara Cox and Ore Oduba.

There is little or no chance that anywhere near one billion people will watch it live. Even the total number of people who see more than a short snippet on the news will probably fall some way short of that figure. How many people do you think will watch it in India and China? That's already roughly 2.5 billion people who won't be watching.

Argh. It started??

On the way home from work now! Who have I missed? :(

Edit: oh, It does indeed start at 7! The opening post is wrong. Phew. Lol

They're awful

I know they have a song called Where Is the Love and that alone guarantees their place in all these events until the world ends

Shame they didn't think of you before arranging the concert  really not important and Where is the Love is one of THE most significant songs for this type of event.

I'm watching, excited although I wish this was happening under better circumstances.

For a concert and a night celebrating music and one love for all, can we not have these sorts of comments? Just for ONE night. Can we just appreciate the fact they're there doing a wonderful thing for a wonderful cause and leave it as that.

Completely defeats the entire purpose of love for all, love for music.

Omg Shine, tune

(also Gary Barlow is daddy sorry not sorry)
