It's decent, but nowhere near as good as "Tears Getting Sober" for me. Probably more of a grower. I hope they have something better to come up their sleeve. |

So basically Bulgaria are going to spend all of the remaining four months putting out potential songs and using the fan reaction to influence their final pick which is very...them.

"Ugly Cry" is still part of the selection process apparently despite not being included on the EP. I hope there's something more spectacular among these five tracks. |

Playlist of all five songs from the EP (plus Ugly Cry) available here
This and Israel have probably been the most frustrating selection process for me so far as all of these songs are clearly within the same vibe of Victoria's music but none of them have that extra 'magic' about them that Tears Getting Sober had and the two best songs here (Imaginary Friend and Growing Up is Getting Old) were her two other options in 2020 meaning they've managed to come up with zero new songs to rival their best work from last year. Add in to the mix the fact that the lowkey sadgirl vibe is kinda over in a post-Rona world, I'd be surprised if any of these songs made the left hand side of the final in May. Their best hope would be to go with Growing Up is Getting Old and try and run up the score with the juries. |

She's so like billie eilish.
This is decent but I dunno if it translates to eurovision well. |

This gave me the winning itch when seeing it juxtaposed with the video. A serious contender.

I'm glad VICTORIA chose this song! I think this is as good as imaginary friend and it is really important for the artist to go for the song she relates the most with rather than the popular opinion. I'm sure this will do really well in Eurovision!

I really wanted Imaginary Friend but her performance absolutely sold Growing Up Is Getting Old, she is bloody brilliant and will definitely do VERY well in Rotterdam, could definitely see this as a contender.

None of the songs were really jumping out or impressing me as she was putting them out, but having listened to this a couple more times, it's pretty good I guess. I saw her as a real winning contender last year though and I don't feel the potential in this anywhere near as much.

this is beautiful as with the rest of her songs, I just hope they're planning some great atmospheric staging for this, that could make this a contender again where as 'Tears Getting Sober' would have had that without it.
Her personal choice is the right choice but this probably won't do as well. |

I went back to play Tears Getting Sober this evening. This seems like they took Tears and hacked off the melody.

It could do similar to When We’re Old a few years ago |
