Universal are in the final stages of agreeing on the designs and formats for Spiceworld 25. It has definitely been stressed to them more cds and a more affordable format would be better for next time so fingers crossed.
I'm excited by what they could possibly have in the vaults to add to Spiceworld.

I sure hope the Spiceworld25 release is much better than Spice25. We definitely need more incentives other than the same vinyl with multiple covers and no other incentive.

Here is what I would love to have:

1xCD standard, probably slip case to diferentiate from the previous editions and incentivise people to buy it again.

2xCD delux with actually more than 1 unreleased track, at least like 3, and demos and mixes. Definitely having the raw demos would be incredible, I think!!!

1x Picture disk with the Spice Fairies on the cover

1x Delux vinyl with a couple of extra tracks like Walk of Life and Outer Space Girls

5x Individual vinyls with each girl in the cover and maybe a few different mixes across each vinyl

1x standard cassette

me too! As far as I know, there are no available demos online from that album, right? That's so exciting!!

LLD: Lovely Little Demos. :teresa:

(Joking aside though, I hope it's not a CD2 of mostly demos. A few would be interesting, but I hope we get more on CD2 than Step To Me)

Yeah agree. Thought I would love to hear demos of all tracks actually as we are yet to hear any from that specific album!

It would be good to have a dedicated thread for #Spiceworld25. ;)
Really pleased to hear Spiceworld is getting a rerelease too I’ll probably cave with that one as it is my favourite of their albums 😍

As suggested by Voodoo, let's have a thread for any Spiceworld 25 rumours and hopefully the eventual confirmation...
Watch them use Step To Me as the unreleased song for Spiceworld 25.
They need to sort a store exclusive vinyl with spiceworld 25 with HMV or Amazon, those send fans crazy buying.

Then they may as well just re-press the Japan version of SW. :teresa:

I love your format ideas, Mr.X! It's inspired me to do the same.

Warning, the level of detail in this post is extremely extra... but I'm sure you all know what I'm like by now! :drama:

(While I would prefer them to use the original logo/font, I guess they'll use an altered version like they did for Spice 25... so that's what I mean when I write "updated original artwork" throughout this post)

VINYL

For Spiceworld, I think they should go even more wild with vinyl... I've come up with 9 different variants.

Note: For each member's individual cover vinyl, it would use the pictures from the original Spiceworld album front cover artwork (just the images of the girls, not them being "in the letters"). I think these pictures would lend themselves to vinyl colour choices better than any of the inlay photoshoot pictures would.

Available in all stores that sell vinyl:

Mel B "Maroon" Vinyl

Geri "Navy Blue" Vinyl

Emma "Purple" Vinyl

Victoria "Olive Green" Vinyl

Melanie C "Fuschia" Vinyl

Picture Disc Vinyl (Side A Design: "Spiceworld Globe" image | Side B Design: "Updated Original Artwork" cover + Track List)

Store exclusive editions:

White Vinyl [HMV] (Exclusive "Alternative Artwork" cover, this picture on the front cover)

Silver Vinyl [Amazon] (Exclusive "Spiceworld Globe" cover, white background)

Double Deluxe Black Vinyl [Official Spice Girls store] ("Updated Original Artwork" cover, Gatefold Sleeve ----- Vinyl 1: Spiceworld Album | Vinyl 2: Deluxe Bonus Tracks)

CDs

Note: The standard CD would include 7x CD-sleeve sized individual picture cards. One would be of the "Updated Original Artwork" cover (which would be on the front of every copy), one would be of this group picture and the other 5 would be one of each girl - the same images as used on the vinyls. The gimmick would be that you could change which card to display as the front cover, i.e. choosing your favourite girl, or the group pic, or the normal cover. Some loon fans would no doubt feel like buying 7 copies so that each artwork could be displayed. I feel like this concept of having just one standard CD would be less overwhelming for the market, but still encourage some multiple purchases. The other side of the 7 cards would include lyrics, credits and their thank yous (i.e. there's no booklet, it's just the 7 cards).

Available in all stores that sell CDs:

Standard CD (with 7 cards - see above note)

Deluxe 2CD ("Updated Original Artwork" cover - Book size case ----- CD1: Spiceworld Album | CD2: Deluxe Bonus Tracks)

Store exclusive editions:

Standard CD [HMV] (Exclusive "Alternative Artwork" Slipcase: this picture as the slipcase cover / Normal booklet sleeve)

Standard CD [Amazon] (Exclusive "Spiceworld Globe" Slipcase, white background / Normal booklet sleeve)

Deluxe 2CD+DVD: Box Set [Official Spice Girls store] ("Spiceworld Globe" on the box's lid, black background ----- CD1: Spiceworld Album | CD2: Deluxe Bonus Tracks | DVD: Spiceworld era Music Videos, clips of unused footage [like they shared from Say You'll Be There], Behind the Scenes of the video shoots footage, TV show/Live concert performances, Interviews)

CASSETTES

Available in all stores that sell cassettes:

Standard Cassette - White Colour Shell ("Updated Original Artwork" cover)

Store exclusive edition:

Double Deluxe Cassette - Blue Colour Shells [Official Spice Girls store] ("Updated Original Artwork" cover ----- Cassette 1: Spiceworld Album | Cassette 2: Deluxe Bonus Tracks)

Pre-order incentive bonuses:

HMV: One "Spiceworld globe" pin badge with every order.

Official Spice Girls store: Five A4-sized glossy photo prints, one of each girl. For instance: if you order a Victoria vinyl from the official store, then you would receive a Victoria photo print. A bundle of all of their vinyls would include all of their photo prints.

Indie Stores: Every order includes a set of five A6-sized postcards, 5 different group images from the Spiceworld era. (Note: Sales of Spice 25 from indie stores were really low... I think stores like that require an incentive to attract fans to purchase copies from them)

There would be plenty of different bundle options on their official store too, to entice people into buying more copies because they'll see it as saving money. For instance, buy the 5 individual member vinyls together for the price of just 4. CD and cassette bundle would cost less money than they would individually.

The should release the live versions of spiceworld tour as a bonus cd for this.

Really hope we get at least 2 new songs and Step To Me, I’d be happy with that and to put them on the vinyl so there’s actually different music on it not the same songs and just a different design.

It’s my favourite of all the Spice Girls albums so really hope they go all out with it

YOU NERD I love all this

Agree on all obviously it would be amazing! Also good point on the indie stores!! Taylor Swift sent signed copies of her vinyls to the indie stores only so that fans would go there and support them. WOULD LOVE IT if the girls did the same!!

It was always going to be a no brainer that we got Spice and Spiceworld 25 and probably Forever too.

SW has the best images so I can’t wait to see what they do with it 😍

I actually think Spiceworld might do better than Spice, it seems to be a lot more people's favourite album despite having sold 1.4m less in the UK.

You would also hope Universal will have more of an idea of what formats work best. Plus it very well might coincide with a tour announcement.
