Welcome to Week 5 of these polls!

Results from Week 4:

Our favourite this week was The Beatles - Let It Be which with 8 votes narrowly beat three songs on 7.

The least favourite was far more unanimous with Ray Stevens - Bridget The Midget (The Queen Of The Blues) getting 7 votes - the next highest had only 2.

Best poll winners

week 1: Percy Faith - Theme From 'A Summer Place'

week 2: Petula Clark - Downtown

week 3: The Beach Boys - God Only Knows

week 4: The Beatles - Let It Be

Worst poll winners

week 1: Russ Hamilton - We Will Make Love

week 2: Ned Miller - From A Jack To A King

week 3: Cliff Richard - Wind Me Up (Let Me Go)

week 4: Ray Stevens - Bridget The Midget (The Queen Of The Blues)

This week's we've settled on 10 for the best song poll (justice for The Wombles etc.) There would have been 6 for the worst poll including Gary Glitter - Oh Yes! You're Beautiful, but I can't bring myself to give it the satisfaction of running away with even this poll, so I've just left the 5 also-rans to choose from.

Oops I didn't select multi-choice the second poll :kink: Not too bothered about fixing that in all honesty.

I like all songs in the first poll, but they're not quite in my top faves, although Streets Of London was closest so got my vote. For the worst, I thought the Guys & Dolls song had slightly the most cringe.

I voted for Crazy Horses, The Air That I Breathe, This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us, Killer Queen and You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet.

For the worst, Cherish.

The Terry Dactyl song was genuinely one of my favourite discoveries this week! Boo hiss x

Voted for Elton John, The Osmonds, The Sweet and Queen for the best and writing in Adam Faith Marie Osmond I guess for worst. Although Alvin Stardust was worse than all of those.

Have had 'Wombling Merry Christmas' stuck in my head this evening also lol

I love all of the Best options so narrowed it down to the 3 I actually paid hard-earned pocket money for while they were fresh and new: Sparks, Queen, BTO.

Paper Woses everyday.

Only voted for Sparks (although I liked plenty of the others) as I don’t want to run the risk of the greatest #2 of all time not winning!

Voted :

T Rex

David Bowie

Hollies

Queen

Bachman Turner Overdrive

Ralph McTell

and.. The Osmonds although I only like Guys and Terry Dactyl wasn't as bad as I thought lol.

Wombling Merry Christmas is a banger!!

Nearly every song in the first poll is an absolute classic. I’ve had the Sparks song stuck in my head since watching their Glasto set a couple of weeks ago.

Seaside Shuffle and Wombling Merry Christmas are both fab records and I will also refer to the even fabber You Will Always Fine Me In The iamspamspamamiAt Parties (my theme tune) and Minuetto Allegretto from The Wombles. In the space of 12 months Mike Batt did Womblepop, womblecalypso, wombleclassicalwaltz, womblexmas, womble40's, and womblesuperhero.

I meant to listen to those I missed but didn't have time this week sadly. Nonetheless, voted Rocket Man, This Town..., Crazy Horses, Ballroom Blitz as favourites I knew and Streets of London as a great discovery.

I guess the Osmonds ones may have been worse, but David Cassidy's slush was the least favourite I was there for.

Oops at a tie x
