  1. Past hour
  2. On the scoreboard, it looks like a forum member called Astrological Mix has entered the song in 1st place.
  3. I had heard the Queen track once before in an old rate - thought it was a little better than I rated it at the time.
  4. Thanks Rollo - and if the rising like an Onyx continues, this may well be the last I'll see of the podium spots
  5. Line up for 29 January Helicopter - Asap Rocky (42), What You Saying - Lil Uzi Vert (41), Boys Don’t Cry - The Cure (39), Back to Friends - Sombr (37), We’re Getting F- Tonight - Gunna / Burna Boy (30), Lush Life - Zara Larsson (7), Where Is My Husband - Raye (3), Raindance - Dave / Tems (1)
  6. 20/24 King Rollo Entry: Queen – Liar One of the few entries that actually had a music video certainly assisted @King Rollo in his attempt at a smash hit. One of Queen's earliest ever recordings this was, and one many weren't familiar with. Scoreboard 1. (87 Points) U.S.U.R.A. & Datura – Infinity [Astrological Mix] 2. (16 Points) Juniper – Weatherman [Herbs] 23. (16 Points) Talking Heads – Heaven [Severin] As we reach the final 5 votes of the night, things are getting very interesting at the top... We turn our attention to @Suedehead2 next!
  7. Yeah, in fact I’ve just watched an interview from the OOYM era where she says she’s working on the album and that it’s going to be very dance-driven, pop, and full of summer vibes, but it didn’t sound like that. Such a shame we never got a proper second album from her 😔
  8. I wasn't expecting to hear my BJSC entry by Prefab Sprout being sampled on that song by Out Of Order when I listened to it.
  9. I really was expecting USURA to be Dobbo so color me surprised. Great entry from him regardless!!! And thank you for the points <3
  10. I was fairly sure Out Of Order would be Dobbo's - great find
  11. It's still mathematically very possible!
  12. Dobbo bringing a megabanger out of the vault there, shame this one isn't on streaming - I'll need to source a local file for my shuffle playlist, I notice there is a release of this song on Bandcamp but it's listed as being vinyl only although appears you can download a digital version of a clip of the song... for £1,000 seems worth it x
  13. Still waiting for my Onyx ascent. 🥲
  14. Update W/E 29/01/26 +1 Bruno Mars +1 Taylor Swift NB: Dave is on 62 and Olivia Dean is on 60!
  15. 19/24 Dobbo Entry: Out Of Order – Tears Perhaps unsurprisingly @Dobbo found an absolute banger of a dance record that nobody had heard of before, and delighted us with some wonderful early house music from the 90s. Scoreboard 1. (87 Points) U.S.U.R.A. & Datura – Infinity [Astrological Mix] 2. (77 Points) Saint Etienne – Avenue [Mangø] 3. (65 Points) The Beloved – Satellite [Addy!] 4. (63 Points) Ministry – Revenge [jimwatts] 5. (63 Points) Out Of Order – Tears [Dobbo] 6. (63 Points) Portishead – Biscuit [AllStarBySmashMouth] 7. (62 Points) Tori Amos – Hotel [dandy*] 8. (58 Points) Saints & Sinners – Peace [AH Gold] 9. (57 Points) Space Art – Onyx [Chez Wombat] 10. (54 Points) Hubert Kah – Limousine [gooddelta] 11. (53 Points) Christoph De Babalon – Water 12. (48 Points) Happy Rhodes – Winter [matto] 13. (45 Points) Earth & Fire – Weekend [WoW73] 14. (44 Points) Wonky Alice – Caterpillars 15. (42 Points) Deep Forest – Gathering [awardinary] 16. (41 Points) Queen – Liar 17. (36 Points) Pulp – Stacks [Jester] 18. (34 Points) Bows – Rockets [Jade] 19. (28 Points) The Doobie Brothers – Spirit [Scene] 20. (26 Points) Peter Gabriel – Intruder [Julian_] 21. (24 Points) Ted Nugent – Stranglehold 22. (16 Points) Juniper – Weatherman [Herbs] 23. (16 Points) Talking Heads – Heaven [Severin] Leapfrogging again is the Infinity track, but Dobbo himself isn't doing too badly so far. @King Rollo I choose you... to be next.

Because blood is the reason for everything. It’s why Zach is such a good dad to Barney. It’s why Kat and Zoe really want Jasmine around despite the fact she’s clearly a horrendous person. Plus we need to be reminded over and over that Grant exists and what better way than having some generic angry young man for characters to tut at and say ‘ you’re just like your father’ even though he has only spent a mere few hours with Grant his whole life. He’s just a random young thug character they’ve slapped a known name on to. Mark, Jasmine, Bea, they’re all paper thin characters with few redeeming features. Oscar seems to be the only decent character introduced by Wadey so far.
  17. I think she took the making of the album really seriously and I agree that overall it is a great debut - only bested by Northern Star. The album sounds gorgeous and really well produced, and you can tell it was an expensive affair. Seeminly she recorded a more pop-oriented album in 1999-2000 before pivoting to r'n'b in 2001. She was hated. After Forever and the whole 2000s debacle, I don't think many of the solo projects had a lot of chances to be honest. People were bored and it is safe to say the hits that came out in 2001 were basically due to the quality of the songs and/or specific tactics (and whatever small group of peopel was left from the Spice fandom at that point). The GP was kind of done with them and Posh in particulay was a laughing stock. Each of the girls needed to come out with an absolute banger (Emma with WTYSL and Maybe, or Geri with IRM) to get any type of good press/successs. This is why the campaign was so baffling, specially from someone as Victoria who is a master at branding and marketing. From the singles choices to the cover, to the whole design of the singles and performances, it all reaked of 'trying a bit too hard to be a posh popstar lol'... Who really thought that IOU or A Mind of Its Own were serious contenders for singles?... it's baffling... NSAIG leaned into the Posh-persona in many ways, she looked like a Posh Spice trying to be edgy and it was wrong, it was too tacky to work. Like That, I Wish and Midnight Fantasy could have provided her with serious pop-r'n'b with a dash of fun, something more truthful to her own personality and pop profile. She had the potential AND the album to be successful, the release strategy was just all wrong, sadly.
  18. Satellite better be hang in that Top 10 area!!!
  19. Thanks Dandy and AllStar for some points! The artists you sent were always likely to do well here, but Dummy is one of my favourite albums so had to reward the song with high points.
  20. If I end up in second place and losing to the U.S.U.R.A song... I will be cursing myself for giving it 12 points
  21. Portishead are also a bit of a cheat code artist for good retro discoveries but always happy to add another one to the pile!
  22. 'Hotel' is such a trip. Love it so much. And the little brass ending finishes it off so nicely lol
