The madonna video is one of the worst promo concepts that i have ever seen. They used an inferior remixed edit and the obvious expense and quality of the video has gone to complete waste. It has actually put me off the song in a way.

I wonder if the VMA's will take effect over here seeing as it's being shown in the UK tonight?

 

If so a few Michael songs may enter. Doubt it though.

 

Hopefully 'Scream' will enter. :wub:

Just noticed it's Lady GaGa's release week with 'LoveGame'. I hope she can at least get Top 20 with it! :(

The single will have very impressive total sales though, even if it looks like its peak may be a bit dismal. I hope she performs on X-Factor, what I'd really love is for her to do a medley of all four singles to maximise the sales of them all.

BTW, I'd say Hayley Williams is like a mixture of Avril Lavigne & Shirley Manson (as in appearance, rather than being a liquid-metal Terminator)... :P

It took them forever to release the track - it's been out in the US and some other European markets weeks ago. I think everyone is just tired of it. The BB remix doesn't help either for non-radio listeners, really pissed off!! :angry: :angry:

How come there are two Energy EPs but neither of them have the original track in them? :huh:

Maybe it's 'burning' at radio, played out so much the public are sick of hearing it.

 

Personally I think it's her weakest single since "American Life", so am not surprised that it is not doing that well.

LoveGame will OBVIOUSLY go top 20, the real deal is that she needs to go top 10. Her support base is huge, she'll have an Untouchable-esque rise next week and hopefuly all the remixes that are going to be released onto iTunes next week will squeeze her into the top 10. Paparazzi took 5 weeks before it went top 10, 4 of those weeks stalling between 50 and 60. LoveGame will just take two weeks longer hopefuly, people are underestimating it so much. For a 4th single to stick it out as long as it has in the top 40 is really fantastic especially with the influx of comeback/first singles from major artists and with no promo. It's still extremely low in terms of airplay (I think it's only 49 on the radio airplay chart), the factor which made it so huge in the US, and the limelight is still in Paparazzi's direction even if LG only overtook it on iTunes last week.. So once the full attention is focused on it it should start getting closer to a decent peak, which could even be well after its physical week. For a single that's peaked at only 27 so far, a sales total of around 85k is extremely impressive as well. .

I dont think GaGa has a chance of going top 10 - its the 4th single of a well selling album and there are some big releases coming up to
