I still don't understand how 'Make Her Say' is doing quite so well, even when considering the featured artists and sampled song. :thinking:

You are right that 'Boys and Girls' will have dropped considerably in chart position this week, but I don't think the sales will be hugely different from last week's very poor performance. Pixie was #1 rather than #3 last week because of so much signing in HMV stores and thus physicals selling very well. Guetta and Jay-Z were destined to take over her, but big releases from Madonna, Taio and Shakira are the reason she will be at #6 rather than #3.

 

I agree about the release of 'Sexy Chick' being the superior style, but if a record label wants a #1, they will do anything get one and I don't think things are going to change anytime soon. Unfortunately, 'Sexy Chick' is a dire song.

What are next week's big new releases? I know Basshunter is one of them.

Just looked at the release schedule and saw LoveGame is released next week. It will likely be her first single to not peak in the top 10 in the UK. :o

I'll be a bit surprised if LG doesn't reach the Top 10. But then... :o

Also Aqua FTW... :kink: Next week release also. It will flop though.

Off-topic, but *dead* is basically when you find something really funny. It's a bit like when someone says "you're gonna DIE when you hear this" etc.
