Was reading the Daily Mirror yesterday and I found this betting pretty interesting. I think if there are any gamblers within BuzzJack, then William Hill can quite easily be robbed...

WHICH COWELL RELATED ALBUM WILL HAVE THE BEST FIRST WEEK OF SALES?:

7/4 JLS

9/4 Alexandra Burke

5/2 Leona Lewis

8/1 Susan Boyle

16/1 Rhydian

Obviously I think when the artists are performing on X Factor will need to be taken into consideration as that will amplify their sales i'm sure. But it's an interesting debate imo either way. Long term i'd have thought that JLS, Leona and Alexandra will have the best sales, but for me, I reckon Susan Boyle might have the best INITAL sales... and 8/1 is a killer of a price.

Leona by far.

250k-ish first week I reckon.

2nd Alexandra (180k-ish), 3rd SuBo (150k-ish), 4th JLS (130k-ish).

Rhydian will struggle immensely to do 10k on release week tbh.

Long run sales:

1 Leona (1.5mil+)

2 JLS (800k or so)

3 Alexandra (600k-ish)

4 SuBo (450k-ish)

5 Rhydian (might scrape 50k)

First week:

150-250k - Leona Lewis

140-200k - Susan Boyle

100-150k - JLS

80-130k - Alexandra Burke

60-80k - Rhydian

Long run:

Technically the order of the most first week sellers but... SuBo might sell more than Leona in the long run.

I think Leona will definitely have the highest sales, with Susan sell the second highest.
Leona will easily do better than Alexandra...Susan Boyle might beat Leona though
I think people may be seriously underestimating how many albums Subo will sell, it's her dubut and already has massive pre-sales. I think she will win over Leona, who's come back single is no Bleeding Love.

its blatently gonna be Leona Vs SuBo

its JLS 2nd single, and Alexandras is a bit poor for a 1st tbh, as for Rhydian he doesn't stand a chance single wise

neways I voted Leona

I assumed we were talking albums?

Leona's song is a grower IMO, was underwhelmed at first...but after a few listens the 'epic' production really shines through.

it has also made a good debut in America, debuting at no50, her highest debut there so far.

I think JLS could surprise though, I don't think people realize quite how big their fanbase (largely an army of teenage girls) are

Oh, I still think it will be the order I said, but Rhydian will do quite well on albums I think..

I think JLS might suprise people too. I definitely think it's a 3 way battle between JLS, Leona and Susan Boyle. Not sure yet who will win the battle yet. The smart money is obviously on Leona but idk - I find Happy proper rubbish personally.
16/1 Rhydian

 I'm sure that he has had his 5 seconds of fame now  Although if Mr.Cowell gives him a prime spot on XF then it could achieve decent first week sales.

First week

.Susan Boyle. 400k+

Leona - 300k

Alexandra 290k

JLS - 220K.

All that money going into Mr Cowell's already magnificently full pockets! It isn't about music anymore is it?

I'd love something to come right out of the blue and snatch victory from him ... but it won't. He owns the British Chart now. Soon you won't be watching the Sunday Chart Show on a Sunday ... it'll be The Chart's According to Cowell. Has anyone ever seen that film 'The President's Analyst'? Its a sort of weird, conspiracy, black comedy film and the main character knows an organisation is trying to take over the US but he doesn't know who or how. It turns out it is the Telephone Company. Well Simon Cowell is the Telephone Company of British Music.

JLS - no chance; they're a singles act who will sell ok on albums but nothing out of the ordinary.

Alexandra - pre-orders could mean she has a big seller but I think ultimately she'll fall a bit short, primarily as her lead single is an up-tempo which does not sell albums.

Leona - smart money would be on her given her massive initial success and the 1 million sales of the deluxe towards the back end of last year based solely on 3 new songs (well one really, Run).

SuBo - could go either way in the UK really, but I expect her to sell more in the US than the UK (proportionately). She might shift more in the first week in the UK than Leona but long term I think Leona will easily outsell her.

Rhydian - very unlikely to finish anywhere else in this battle than 5th.

I voted Leona. But SuBo might just sneak it.

Spot on.

But with his Max Clifford PR spin & influence within the tabloid media behind him, you have to be a small fry (John McClure (Reverend & The Makers)) or a very big gun (Sir Paul McCartney) in the music industry to be brave enough to slag him off and tell things how they are.

LOL at Avid Merrion ripping the $h!t out of Simon Cowell in the Cha'Mone - Mo'Fo Selecta! A Michael Jackson Tribute on right now.

(Off topic) Actually this programme is surreally hilarious especially Mel B with Emma Bunton. And as for his Kanye West.
