Posted October 5, 200915 yr So I'm jumping on the forever growing bandwagon of counting down my Top 50 BJSC entries to date. All the songs in this countdown are songs I've found from BJSC 7 - 20. It's a real mixed bag and I'm sure there will be something for everyone to enjoy! :D Also, I have a seperate countdown of my Top 10 BJSC discoveries that became future hit singles and I would have ended up hearing regardless of this contest (hope that made some sort of sense to some of you :heehee:). which will start this countdown off now... 10: Herzebania: Agnes 'Release Me' (BJSC 13 WINNER) 6pts 09: Land of Jack: 3OH!3 'Don't Trust Me' (BJSC 16 - 12th) 12pts 08: Mdice: Katy Perry 'I Kissed a Girl' (BJSC 7 WINNER) 3 Pts 07: MKL: Lady GaGa 'Just Dance' (BJSC 7 - 2nd) 0pts 06: United States of Jack: Cobra Starship feat. Leighton Meester 'Good Girls Go Bad' (BJSC 18 - 4th) 10pts 05: Eledan: Lenka 'The Show' (BJSC 11 WINNER) 8pts 04: Land of Jack: Star Pilots 'In the Heat of the Night' (BJSC 9 - 23rd) 12pts 03: JRK-Off: Shontelle 'T-Shirt' (BJSC 10 - 12th) 8pts 02: Torchwood: Lady GaGa 'Paparazzi' (BJSC 10 - 2nd) 10pts 01: United States of Russiatron: Keri Hilson 'Energy' (BJSC 7 - 6th) 10pts 54IPwtJMs9Q So a shocking winner... or not :heehee: Proper countdown will start shortly! :D.
October 5, 200915 yr Love you Jonjo <3 I'll probably start one of these soon too  BANDWAGONING FTW.
October 5, 200915 yr Author So let's start shall we? 50: Sangria: Tania Christopher 'Just Like U' (BJSC 16 - DNQ!) 0pts JU96b1yR6Vo I honestly can't believe this DNQ'd! I loved it and I thought it'd be a big hit amongst the RnB fans. But it was a case of wrong semi for this beaut of a song! 49: Ashton: Cinderella Theory 'IN2U' (BJSC 19 - 23rd) 1pt yR-zBMPMCEA Next up we have a country who's one of the most successful non-winning countries to date (if not THE most successful ) but my tastes must be really bad, seeing as the ones that "flop" mainly, are the ones I like the most! LOL :( I honestly thought this was a safe top 10! 48: Jester's Kingdom: Chairlift 'Bruises' (BJSC 12 - 13th) 1pt w8HRCacAQ-4 This is one of those songs that I could have sworn I gave more points than I did  Ah well. although it wasn't EXACTLY a discovery, as it was used on an advert, if it wasn't for Jester I wouldn't have heard it in full, nor would I have been bothered to have found out who it was by.
October 5, 200915 yr Lenka is there too even if on the different list  Edited October 5, 200915 yr by Bloc Pavvii
October 5, 200915 yr 49: Ashton: Cinderella Theory 'IN2U' (BJSC 19 - 23rd) 1pt yR-zBMPMCEA Next up we have a country who's one of the most successful non-winning countries to date (if not THE most successful ) but my tastes must be really bad, seeing as the ones that "flop" mainly, are the ones I like the most! LOL :( I honestly thought this was a safe top 10! yeah, the :kink: I thought this would get top10 too :( The tracks of mine that have flopped are the ones i love the most. Looking forward to seeing where Lorelei ends up :kink:
October 5, 200915 yr Author Fingers crossed for a Hendinian entry, maybe Discotheque :kink:'Discotheque' is still to come, but you've also had better :kink:
October 5, 200915 yr By next week, there will be top200 discoveries. :D But I like it, I already get to know a lot of songs for the TBO nomination this way. :P I hope I appear on this list once. :kink:
October 5, 200915 yr 'Discotheque' is still to come, but you've also had better :kink: :o I've had better *has a good think* Mini Viva
October 5, 200915 yr Author 47: Kellyana Kingdom: Megan McCauley 'Tap That' (BJSC 11 - 6th) 3pts NI5IEGTEU48 Coming up next is a song which is basically 'U & Ur Hand' part 2. Although it finished 6th, I tipped it to win IIRC. It had BJSC smash written all over it anyway. I'm sure it'll be in other people's countdowns too! 46: Triodopolis: Saving Jane 'Supergirl' (BJSC 7 - 22nd) 0pts qpoFAHIeg-o One of my "should have given points" up now. I'm surprised it finished as low as it did, as it has a super infectious chorus that sticks in your head whether you like it or not. 45: Botanikka: Darin feat. Kat DeLuna 'Breathing Your Love' (BJSC 12 - 3rd) 3pts KEBhMQtxALY A song which was one of the most obvious Top 5's possibly ever. Although it was a male, having Kat DeLuna featured was probably a smart move for it's success in the BJSC :heehee: Being a RedOne production also probably helped.
October 5, 200915 yr I expect Darin would have done just fine without Kat DeLuna being on it...it's an excellent song regardless  Kat's hardly a huge BJSC star :heehee:
October 5, 200915 yr UNBREAK MY HEART. Looking forward to Erik coming 13th or something :drama: Me too :kink:
October 5, 200915 yr Author 44: Kingdom of Shadow: Belinda 'At the End of the Day' (BJSC 12 - 5th) 5pts iFxukyczAvY I remember when I very first heard this song, I was one of those lucky people to get one of them "secret PM's" from KoS. (I think it was for this song...) Well anyway he asked my opinion on this and another one by the same person, this one stood out instantly for me  43: Lotopialand: Daisy 'Everytime' (BJSC 19 - 9th) 5pts f35e51LlcQ0 A country who have come from out of nowhere. Daisy was always going to be a BJSC hit, seeing as she's basically Gathania, Velvet and September rolled into one :heehee: Very good song though. At first I was thinking it was one of those cheap, nasty dance covers of Britney Spears classic, thank God it wasn't LOL! 42: Eledan: Private 'Killer on the Dancefloor' (BJSC 14 - 22nd) 0pts VJCFZQbGt_E I'm shocked at myself for not giving this points? I swear I did :heehee: Ah well. It must have been my "11th place - just missed out on votes" song. It's great. Liked this alot! 41: Triodopolis: Bim 'The Battle' (BJSC 20 - 15th) 5pts U87vyXbGTw0 Another brilliant entry from Triodopolis. Everything about this song is stunning. From the vocal's to the melody. I perhaps should have given it a point or two higher, but it got a surprisingly decent finish
October 5, 200915 yr Oh My actual God. :o I'm on someone's chart :o It deserved much more totally :( I received so many 1's, 2's and 3's that evening i remember, probably more than with Shakira though :o
October 5, 200915 yr  Utopia and Ashton did a top 30, Eledan did a top 40 and now you've gone top 50  Anyone for Nickodonia's top 75 :kink:?
October 5, 200915 yr lol Darin remains one of my best entries evaaaa...I gotta find something to beat him.
October 6, 200915 yr Author 40: FSR Rontvia: Beautiful Small Machines 'Robots In Love' (BJSC 17 - WINNER!) 0pts ttH4Rd8djPM One of my biggest regrets of not giving points ever! It's a shame it was more of a grower as it is growing and growing on me the more I listen to it! Deserved win for the unstoppable Rontvia :P 39: JRK-Off: Se7en feat. Lil Kim 'Girls' (BJSC 15 - DNQ!) 0pts depOL5JsTXk BJ's biasedness against Asian artists and male artists went against this. It's a brilliant RnB track that deserved far more than a DNQ! 38: Nonsuch: Lily Allen 'Guess Who Batman (Fuck You)' (BJSC 8 - WINNER!) 6pts wJMkMRrGKco Well seeing as this was the demo version of 'f*** You' it's in this countdown as opposed to my first one :heehee:. Loved it from first listen and another deserving winner. 37: Kingdom of Shadow: Janet Leon 'Breakaway' (BJSC 15 - 9th) 10pts gR8MbRhquzQ It's a shame "The Great Kingdom" doesn't like this as much as they used too :( It's a brilliant slice of pop and was always guaranteed BJSC success  36: Hendinia: Elin Lanto 'Discotheque' (BJSC 13 - 4th) 10pts jPKlMymhqwc Next up is the debut song that made Hendinia forces to be reckoned with. 'Discotheque' is a brilliant pop, dancefloor smash. A bit September-y but with a little more edge. This is not the last time Elin is in this countdown :kink:
