35: Frahliso: Charli XCX 'Neon Fashion & Glowstixx' (BJSC 8 - DNQ!) 0pts

NO VIDEO!

This song was brilliant. I really don't know why it didn't qualify! I wish I had chance to give it points, but C'est La Vie an' all that :drama:

34: Triodopolis: The Love Willows 'A Day In My Life' (BJSC 8 - 9th) 10pts

Next up is this brilliant, feel good tune, from the masters of being the underdogs in most contests they're in! :P Whenever I hear this track it puts me in a slightly better mood. It's sooo good and deserved to be a little higher if i'm honest.

33: Hendinia: Kim Leoni 'Medicine' BJSC 15 - 3rd 7pts

IIRC this is the last track of Hendinia's to be in my countdown. Sorry it's so low, but I literally ADORE every song from now. Kim was a very nice surprise. Thoroughly deserving of every success it got, and hopefully manages to pull through into the Best of!

32: Kathaldazia: Jody 'Wind It' BJSC 15 - 2nd 6pts

Oooh we have another entry from 15, this time it's runner-up Jody. Yes it got a point less, but it would be different now. This is probably one of those songs that people will think won, but actually only came second to 'The Girl and the Robot'. It's basically 'Don't Stop the Music''s twin sister. Was always bound to do well.

31: Rivandia: Chew Lips 'Solo' BJSC 15 - 14th 5pts

Love this song. It caught me off guard in the contest and just took me by surprise! Rivandia are quite the dark horses for me. Well Rivandia and Utopia really. But for me personally, Rivandia have introduced me to songs I thought I would never like. There are a couple more of theirs to come not so soon :kink:

40: FSR Rontvia: Beautiful Small Machines 'Robots In Love' (BJSC 17 - WINNER!) 0pts

One of my biggest regrets of not giving points ever! It's a shame it was more of a grower as it is growing and growing on me the more I listen to it! Deserved win for the unstoppable Rontvia :P

:snif: this grew on so many people after the contest...which makes me question my own tastes as I found it incredibly instant

It 'grew back' after 5 minutes i said it grew on me a bit. :heehee:

44: Kingdom of Shadow: Belinda 'At the End of the Day' (BJSC 12 - 5th) 5pts

I remember when I very first heard this song, I was one of those lucky people to get one of them "secret PM's" from KoS. (I think it was for this song...) Well anyway he asked my opinion on this and another one by the same person, this one stood out instantly for me

oo! Secret PMs!

They were a laugh :P I actually used them for Lights too but used different people for both IIRC

Thanks for helping me choose between this over 'If We Were'? I think we defo made the right choice!

37: Kingdom of Shadow: Janet Leon 'Breakaway' (BJSC 15 - 9th) 10pts

It's a shame "The Great Kingdom" doesn't like this as much as they used too :( It's a brilliant slice of pop and was always guaranteed BJSC success

It's a great pop song don't get me wrong wrong it's more my attitude when choosing the song which I dislike.

Oh and Chew Lips - Solo = godly track

actually I found it really instant but it faded quite quickly for me... A fantastic song but it did begin to grate a little :P

I got that secret PM too :w00t:

:(

maybe you should listen to the more organic sounding Zavracky remix to rejuvinate your love for it :P

to be honest though it happens a lot with me with the BJSC...Into The Clouds, Ice, Everytime, Silly Boy and loads more too...loved all of these but the novelty wore off quite quickly after the contest :( still love all of the songs though, they just don't have the same WOW factor anymore

It may just be where during BJSC I only listen to BJSC songs so they all get quite a lot of plays in a short period of time. once the contest is over I just sort of forget to listen to them as I have to catch up on the 'real' world of music

No I defo prefer the original! I still absolutely love the song btw just don't feel the urge to listen to it is all - Don't worry modern day Rontvia is srtill big in the Kingdom :P

agreed with that 100%, 'real' music plus the next BJSC instantly start to dominate my iPod as soon as the current one finishes

I prefer the original too, but still love the remix. I also completely understand what you're saying, I have absolutely no urge to listen to Once I Was Like You, A Bar In Amsterdam or Into The Clouds despite them all getting my 12 and me loving them...some songs go past this though, I still listen to Wind It at least twice a week for example :o

around which point did this 'modern day Rontvia' separate from 'old crap Rontvia'? :heehee:

Blank of course, I still remember the first time I heard it cleaning my car in the freezing cold I thought 'oo this is a good little track' then when I came inside to check who was sending it I thought 'OMGZ'

But anyways that's enough about you - Let's ge back to the chart Jon!! Although I seem to never actually give them points Ojnoj is certainly one of me favorite nations. I thikn we both joined at the same time...

 interesting story there!

Ojnoj are usually a shoe in for my 8 points when they send a song I like :heehee: hugely underrated nation

30: Sangria: Tata Young 'I Believe' (BJSC 8 - 4th) 8pts

Next up we have Sangria. A country who started off very promising, but somehow, despite a few other good (but not as good in all honesty :(), have managed to DNQ quite a few times :(. This song was a very pleasent surprise. I was expecting to dislike it for some reason. But it's pop almost perfection :kink:

29: Mdice: Little Boots 'Every Little Earthquake' (BJSC 13 - 3rd) 4pts

Despite becoming my favourite Little Boots song, I only realised this when I bought the album, so as a BJSC discovery, although I still adored it, I didn't love it as much as I do now.

28: Greenfroze: Donkeyboy 'Ambitions' (BJSC 19 - 10th) 4pts

Another song that continued to grow on me after the contest, although this time, I was sure to give it at least a couple of points. I wish I had given it alot more now. Looking back it perhaps should have been a big contender for my 12.

27: Mdice: Frankmusik '3 Little Words' (BJSC 12 - 2nd) 12pts

Aaaah! The place where my Frankmusik obsession started  Awesome song! By an awesome artist! It actually took me by surprise as to just how much I love this song

26: Kingdom of Shadow: Lights 'Ice' (BJSC 13 - 6th) 8pts

A stunning song, from a stunning artist up now. 'Ice' screamed instant bjsc hit. I think I love Lights more than I think... speaking of which I have her album on my laptop that I still need to listen too...

Aww fanx both!

Tom - You were one of the only ones to appreciate Gavin Mikhail :snif:! He deserves far more recognition, not just on here but everywhere basically :heehee: :(

25: MKL: Cassie feat. Akon 'Let's Get Crazy' (BJSC 15 - 18th) 12pts

Next up we have a song which we thought would be the respective artists very own 'Just Dance'. It deserved to be huge in the contest. How it wasn't I don't know. Hopefully it gives Cassie the limelight again, if/when it gets released!

24: Ferverosia: Da Buzz 'Dangerous' (BJSC 10 - 10th) 12pts

Next up we have a europop/dance smash. I absoloutely adored this at the time, and even purchased it from iTunes (one of my first iTunes purchases too iirc). Looking back it would definately not get 12 points. It'd probably struggle for 6 points now if i'm honest, but there's no denying that I do love this. So glad it scraped the Top 10!

23: JRK-Off: Michelle Williams 'Unexpected' (BJSC 9 - DNQ!) 0pts

I'm still baffled to this day as to how this failed to qualify! It screamed BJSC Smash to me and I honestly thought it'd do better than it did. One of the highlights off this woman's brilliant album 'Unexpected'! (Only 2nd to 'We Break the Dawn' obvz :P) Ah well at least she still has the best solo DC album :)

22: FSR Rontvia: Anna Abreu 'Music Everywhere' (BJSC 20 - 2nd) 7pts

Now we have the undefeatable, unless your country name is Mdice, Rontvia, with their most recent entry and one of their best imo. 'Music Everywhere' is incredibly instant and infectious and whether you try to avoid it or not, you will be singing along!

21: Kopecka: Little Boots 'Meddle' (BJSC 8 - 12th) 4pts

Another entry which kick started somewhat of an obsession with the artist. Before this entry I had never heard of Little Boots. Now, all thanks to this entry, I adore her. It's my 3rd favourite from the album (behind 'Earthquake' and 'Remedy' respectably). So as a discovery this is the top Boots song for me!

Anna :cheer:

at least amongst the haters there were some people that loved it as much as I did
