BIG flop for Mika! I was expecting it to do not as well as his previous singles, but I thought it'd do better than it has
Poor Mika, looks like he could be dropped at this rate. His second single is much worse and the album should be very first week heavy sales wise.

Critically acclaimed English singer-songwriter Ben Hudson is set to release a revelatory breakthrough album, 'Straight No Chaser', executive produced by global superstar Kanye West. It is a take-no-prisoners collection of monster pop hooks, shiny plastic synths, vocoder vocals, and piercingly lyrical songs of love and disaster, heartache and hope.

'Straight No Chaser' is chock full of punchy, singalong pop songs, such as glam slamming 'White Lies', electro anthem 'Knew We Were Trouble', lyrically twisting relationship drama 'Stiff Upper Lip', bar room gospel hymn 'Lift Your Head' and consoling ballad 'Time'. - HMV

The Big Pink definitely didn't make it then :( What a shame, I hope it can do it in coming weeks.

Anyway, The X-Factor has brought Paparazzi back into the top 40 I see...

Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights around the city. An early collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with her ode to lost, drunken nights, "Just Dance." The song went on to top the charts in several other countries, helping GaGa to develop an international following. The vocalist made headlines at the 2009 Brit Awards when she, along with Brandon Flowers of the Killers, performed with the Pet Shop Boys on a medley of the synth-pop duo's hits, including the classic "West End Girls." - HMV

I'd say the second single is a vast improvement. It will still flop though...

WOO! Not a GaGa -less Top 40 just yet then :kink:

So glad 'Paparazzi' has climbed back in

I think it's not the end of the story for Mika, but if he releases another flop single and album the next era he will be forgotten.

JLS (Aston, JB, Marvin and Oritse) are ready to launch their assault on the charts. Armed with excitement, glamour, charm and now killer music, JLS have all the ingredients to go all the way. Since winning over the nation and building an army of loyal fans on The X Factor last year JLS have not stopped. The year kicked off on a high when they signed a deal with legendary music label Epic. Since then the boys have been touring the UK and working night and day on their debut album, today they announce details of their first offering, the fantastic 'Beat Again'.

'Beat Again' is a tune that will have you hooked after just one listen. Written and produced by Steve Mac and Wayne Hector (previous writing credits read like a who's who in modern pop music) 'Beat Again' is the perfect showcase for the bands vocal prowess. The boys recorded the track in London and it's an instant reminder as to why JLS captured the nations hearts and imaginations last year. With it's dark driving beat and soulful infectious lyrics, this exciting debut single is set to become a massive dance floor anthem this summer. - HMV

Discussion Thread Here

Paparazzi has really had its day now.

What about I Gotta Feeling? :kink: Being so old in the low top-40 is better than being so old in the Top-10. IMO :teresa:

A climb for JLS, expected as they've been top 30 on iTunes again recently. I believe it was first because of the MOBOs and then again because of the Mr Hudson cover perhaps?
Never liked 'Beat Again'... I'm really liking their second single, however. This needs to leave now.
