November 9, 201014 yr I wouldn't call Meet Me Halfway a ballad... it's more mid-tempo I think the definition of a ballad is "a mid-tempo love song", although I could be wrong. And I've just had deja vu. I swear a discussion similar to this happened months ago on here!

November 9, 201014 yr So it's a mid-tempo love song that isn't a ballad? I think slow love song would be more suitable for ballad?
November 9, 201014 yr I was thinking exactly the same thing ! I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!! It happened back in March! :o http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...0&p=2982327 It begins with me going on about how completely and utterly massive Meet Me Halfway was (as I usually do, since I love the song ), and then some other people are like "Meet Me Halfway? Ballad? lol". Wow, and back then I was amazed it sold almost half a million. :o Now look at it! Perhaps it'll sound more like a ballad if you listen to this version of it: Edited November 9, 201014 yr by Eric_Blob
November 9, 201014 yr Well, three-quarters of a million is relatively good I suppose, but Meet Me Halfway is an incredible song, and I find it absolutely beautiful. Relatively good? It's fantastic! Not many songs sell that much, it's a very good figure. ^_^
November 13, 201014 yr Meet Me Halfway is one of my favorites from the album (probably my fav. with Now Generation). It's a slow/mid-tempo song but not a ballad (just to step in on the discussion)
November 13, 201014 yr I would have never considered it a ballad and for some strange reason and i dont know why it always reminds me of 90;s hit by Snap called welcome to tomorrow. Edited November 13, 201014 yr by Aphrodite
November 20, 201014 yr I would have never considered it a ballad and for some strange reason and i dont know why it always reminds me of 90;s hit by Snap called welcome to tomorrow. I've just listened to that song, and I see what you mean! The videos have a similar theme too! I think Meet Me Halfway sounds most like Time After Time. They're so similar, I think it could've been based off the song. If so, it's strange to think if that song didn't exist, them my favourite song from 2009 might not've existed.
