Subo's album is released the week after X Factor finalists. Do we really think a cherry picked album track will sell 100k+
Yes
I think it is a good song for them to cover, it does not require big vocals. Last year the finalists murdered Mariah's Hero, it was awful. Hopefully this might be half decent.

I had really hoped they wouldn't do one this year :(

I'm sorry but I just hate this pile of crap before I even hear it.

The whole point of The X Factor is to eliminate the crap singers and be left with an eventual winner, not let them all have a #1 single for 'charity'. :/

i know it's for a good cause but it is ruining our beloved charts especially for the year-end - GaGa's hold on the top spot may be to an end depending on how much this sells - plus it won't sound good the song bcoz their voices dnt really mix well together plus the fact Jedward are there too :/ i feel sorry for Rihanna and Britney they could've been possible #1's if it wasn't for this lot hufff x
Ugh, John & Edward will get a #1 after all. :puke:

Exactly! What a coinky dink that Cowell happens to select a Jacko song as well innit?

I hate reality TV shows. It's only given us GA, Wil Young and Leona of any worth. Oh and of course Sinead Quinn :kink: May she rest peacefully in the bowels of 'flop hell' forever <33

 I suppose it was inevitable. I actually kinda erm liked Hero last year, is that wrong in several ways?

Subo is still one of Cowell's acts.

Just wish the inevitable backlash to the stranglehold he has on the music industry would hurry up.

Well you weren't alone to "kinda erm like Hero" :kink:
I like that there is a charity single. The shame is that this isn't only for charity, its just huge promotion for a TV show. I quite like the finalists though, bar Twincest of course!

You are not alone has to be the most overplayed song ever.... especially when it comes to these singing talent shows. If they're not singing it they're playing it in the background to some sob story. <_<

well looks like this monstrosity will make number 1 after leona, and be number 1 till the winners song :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

one will probably overtake lady gaga in the year end chart.

YUCK! Its such a shame that good music will be prevented from the upper reaches by two unoriginal covers

Hero sold 760,000 last year and had an extra month. So hopefully it will have good sales for a couple of weeks then plummet.
So many great songs will miss out on number one because of this s***. The question is WHY WOULD ANYBODY BUY IT? WHY NOT JUST STICK TO THE ORIGINAL MJ VERSION? I GUARANTEE THIS VERSION WILL ADD NOTHING TO IT. JUST GIVE MONEY TO THE CHARITY INSTEAD!! YOU DON'T NEED THIS!! (Ahem, rant over) And coincidently, it's being released around the time of the This Is It film and album . Cynical, me? Of course not.. :manson:

Yay more over priced tat! I seriously doubt that Simon thinks about the poor starving children, otherwise he'd just give them the money in his 5 million bank accounts. He has really poisoned the UK charts with X Factor/Britain's Got Talent crap.

And then he goes and puts a price of one of his unoriginal singles £2.99.

As much as I detest this already, one thing you can't excuse Cowell of is not caring about "poor, starving chilldren". He's known to be a very generous benefactor in terms of finances, time etc to a number of children's charities.

I'm also perplexed at what great songs will miss out at a chance of number 1. Recently very few artists have released singles late November/December for a couple of reasons: firstly there's the mad rush by late November to release albums to surf the seasonal wave of higher sales necessitating earlier single releases (see Lady GaGa's Bad Romance); secondly because of the change in radio playlists to reflect the Christmas season new songs get less of a chance to be heard and gain spins and airplay.
