As for guest act this week - what a let down.

First we had Robbie then Whitney - both class acts then this week we got Pestlife :puke2: :puke2:

I don't know if Lloyd will go, tbh, he'll still be getting a lot of the teen girl votes. Then again it's hard to call. Maybe Rachel, Lloyd, or possibly Olly

I dunno about that I think she showed Saturday she may well win it, big band week last year was what put Alexandra on the map with her version of Candyman and she never looked back after that after being rather average early on in the series and can see Lucie doing the same, Lucie tried to be too like Leona on Saturday trying to hold long notes and it all got a bit shouty but long as she stays in her range she will be Top 3 I think

She doesn't have much in the way of charisma admittedly, no real personality there but then again neither did Leona and it never really cost her not that Lucie is anywhere near the level of Leona

Jedward please, if not them then Lloyd, if not him then Jamie!

Quite hard from now on really, but I think it'll be Olly next week, maybe Lucie. I don't think Lloyd, Joe, J&E or Stacey'll go out this early, and I can see Jamie and Rachel doing well during a rock week. Danyl'll get a rebound vote, so that leaves Olly or Lucie. Like most on here though, I'd rather Lloyd or J&E went.

Cowell is happier than anyone about John & Edward staying in. They're getting a bigger buzz than any of the contestants (for better or for worse) and I'd estimate them alone are adding on an extra 1-2 million viewers atm. It's no coincidence that they were last on last night, and don't forget it's Cowell that calls the shots.

 

I really wouldn't be surprised to find out ... at some point in the (not too) distant future ... that the whole J&E scenario was planned from the word go ... by Mr Cowell! Louis was probably instructed to include them in his last three! You can see that Cowell himself is bored to tears with his this Frankenstein Creation that is known as X-Factor!

Obviously I'd like to see "the chosen one" Danyl gone, but it wont happen as Simon and his PR Max Clifford will pull out all the stops this week to ensure it doesn't (example: note the negative story in the papers today about new favourite Joseph).

 

I think Jedward will be safe for at least two more weeks .... which leaves me thinking Lloyd & (undeservedly) Rachel will be in the bottom two with the judges voting out Rachel (using the third time in the bottom two excuse).

I WANT J&E to go obviously, but think we're looking at Rachel really.

 

I can't see Danyl being booted out over her, and nobody else seems OBVIOUSLY in danger atm. Lloyd's name has been cropping up a lot, but I think a lot of people are ignoring the Eggnog-Quigg-isn't-he-cute factor.

I'd like to see Jedward go but they won't. Besides them, the one who has been by far the weakest in the live shows is Lloyd. He seems very very Leon and his performances are so boring. Louis and Cheryl haven't done too good with their categories this year whereas Simon and Dannii definitely have the best acts.

Cowell praying for 'Jedward' exit

X Factor judge Simon Cowell says he is "praying" Irish twins John and Edward Grimes do not win the ITV talent show.

 

"If they win, it will be a complete and utter disaster," he said. "I'd probably sulk for about six months [and] get on a very fast plane out of the country."

 

The 18-year-old duo - dubbed 'Jedward' by their many fans - are one of nine acts left in this year's series.

 

"I don't dislike them as people," added Cowell. "I just don't think they are the act we were looking for."

 

The pop impresario was speaking at a press conference on Thursday to announce his patronage of the Children's Hospices UK charity.

 

'Singing candle'

 

Cowell, who is hoping to steer one of his over-25 acts to victory this year, also had some criticism for popular contestant Stacey Solomon.

 

"She's like a singing candle," he told reporters. "She hasn't moved in three weeks."

 

Singer Danyl Johnson remains favourite to win, despite ending up in the sing-off on Sunday's results show.

 

"He's back on Saturday to prove he should be there," said Cowell, who admitted a meeting had been called after Sunday's programme.

 

"It was simply to say I thought that Saturday's show song choices and performances weren't as good as I would have expected and that we have got to dig a bit deeper."

 

Fans have been assembling outside the north London property where the X Factor hopefuls are currently being housed.

 

Barnet Council said on Thursday it had closed the road to through traffic "to protect children and teenagers who have been amassing".

I do believe with the now discredited Sun story about Jedward topping the votes that he is really fearful that he has created a John Sergeant Frankenstein Monster; as for attacking Stacey (again), he clearly sees her a genuine candidate to wn which goes against his agenda of having a male winner = first choice Danyl.
