Posted October 26, 200915 yr Release Week: 23rd November 2009 Rihanna 'Rated R' http://i38.tinypic.com/bi5t1x.jpg So. The 'Umbrella' woman is back with a brand new album, to follow up the multi platinum selling album 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. At the start of 2009 she was at the center of a major celebrity news story. With that and the controversy surrounding her new single 'Russian Roulette', will she be able to recreate a similar success to 'Good Girl Gone Bad'? ------------------------------ Sugababes 'Sweet 7' The Sugababes are back this year with a brand new line-up and a spanking new album. After last years flop 'Catfights & Spotlights' failed to set the charts alight, the girls gave up and started work on new material and signed a deal with Jay-Z's label, Roc-A-Fella records, in an attempt to crack America in the near future. After the success of 'Get Sexy', Keisha was controversially fired from the band and replaced by new member Jade Ewen. Do they still have the fans to make a successful album out of 'Sweet 7' or will it follow 'Catfights & Spotlights' into flopsville?
October 26, 200915 yr Author Please note, both of these are up against SuBo (and to a lesser extent Britney's singles collection) so I think it's safe to say number 1 is out of the question for both of them LOL. But #2 & #3 are still available :heehee:
October 26, 200915 yr Rihanna will easily be higher I think. Sugababes could have a disappointment on their hands ... I reckon around #06 or so for them and #02 for Rihanna.
October 26, 200915 yr sugababes I think will peak just one place higher (number 2) than rihanna (number 3) on release week, but rihanna will totally sell mroe and therefore will be higher on the year-end chart. Edited October 26, 200915 yr by Rain_DVF
October 26, 200915 yr Your all forgetting Leona the week before. 1. Susan B 2. Leona L 3. Lady G 4. Rihanna 5. Sugas 4 6. Alesha D 7. Cheryl C 8. JLS 9. Alexandra B 10. N-Dubz :heehee:
October 26, 200915 yr Eugh. I hope Rihanna can chart higher than GaGa's re-release. She really deserves to! :( Anyway, Rihanna will be higher than Sugas on both accounts I think. :D
October 26, 200915 yr Author I too picked Rihanna for both, but you know what I will not be surprised at all if N-Dubz score higher than Sugababes! :o
October 27, 200915 yr NiDubz are week before, i think it'll only manage big enough sales for 1 week top 10 but maybe i'm wrong.
October 27, 200915 yr You're also all forgetting Enya is releasing her Very Best Of this week, and has hit the top ten with her last eight albums. :magic:
October 27, 200915 yr Rihanna ripped off Queens Of The Stone Age with that title! Anyway, Rihanna will win on both counts. As if it'll be any sort of competition, Sugababes are gonna follow a similar pattern to C&S with this now, if not worse...
October 27, 200915 yr I think Sugas will actually peak better than Rihanna although Rihanna will sell more by the end of the year.
October 28, 200915 yr Rihanna will be higher and will sell more in the longrun. She could be #2 or #3 depending on how much Leona drops off in her second week. I suspect the Gaga re-release will be at #4 and Sugababes and Britney battling for #5. I do think 'Sweet 7' will outpeak CF&S purely because of the publicity around the band atm and that sales seem to be a lot lower this year. It'll drop like a bomb though.
