Thank f*** that i've heard all the songs already, this is literally the first time i've visited the BJSC forum since i nominated for the rejects competition, which was probably mid October, and it just so happened to be half an hour from the deadline to vote for the semi :drama:. I never even knew Florence qualified till now LOL. I've never seen a bigger difference in quality between each semi either. My 8 in semi 2 wouldn't get ANY points at all in semi 1 :o.

I think it was the lack of notifications and the fact that we only had 6 days to vote that confused people. I had no idea votes were due today until I checked the thread by chance. You should accept any votes sent late...I always do. I honestly don't care when votes are sent as long as they're before results begin lawlz.

I was going to do them this weekend, but I had a whole script to write by myself that took up all weekend, that I found out about on Friday. It wouldn't have been fair to vote last night having not heard songs like Lonely (Are You Coming Home) - and I desperately needed to go, because I was absolutely knackered to be honest.

 

I was quite surprised we didn't get any notifications, also, if I'm being completely honest.

It's not compulsory to vote, hence the no reminder. There wasn't one last year.

 

I'm not accepting late votes because the results should have been last night, but i was working until 8:30pm. so they got booted back a night and you got an extra 8hours.

After all there are alot of people who just don't find it interesting when they don't have an entry.

Yeah, but there are some people who do have an entry who didn't vote...quite a few in fact.

 

TBH Phil I would accept late votes. And for ones with incomplete voting, just bump up the points by one to fill the space (and have them not award a 1 pointer) instead rather than discount them.

I think people probably don't see it as important since it's not the main event......probably for some as soon as the best of starting that was thier cue to dissapear until December :/

 

But people who actually made it, it's harder to explain that one....although there's a few people who might not know they got an entry in the best of
