Don't forget The Pogues are likely to outchart Mariah again (they tend to overtake when it gets closer to Xmas) and they're at 23 when combined atm.

You always get people who download it every year as a tradition, but the annual trends for Xmas song sales are definitely dropping like a brick. Some people might wait until they have a credit card before they download it for example.

I looked at Chartstats for the chart run. It started re-entering from 2007 and reached at #4. Then next year, just Top 20.

 

I'm not sure though what is the total sales just like what Bert For Lashes has asked.

Nope, you're not seeing things - this tends to happen with big releases, the album version goes in or near top 40.
