BTW please don't ask for pop bars please, britster, Bibliotheque and other members will post them up as soon as they are at PC or the pop bars have changed significantlly

 

sorry I was just curious if it is frozen, because I think Robbie, Cheryl and RATM should have a significant increase.

About the Alex/JLS debate, i don't really care if JLS are selling more copies of their album than Alexandra because they are just scamming their fanbase and i know that Alexandra's album is far better than their's to listen to.

How are they scamming their fans :S.. The fans are well aware that it is the same album with different slipcases.. their own decision if they wish to buy it..It was a very clever decision by their management.. probably did boost their album sales in the first week but I doubt they are STILL selling well because of the album slipcases.. surely most fans would have bought it in the first week especially when trying to get them number 1 against Robbie

Anyway.. I like Alexandra & JLS.. and both of their albums

 

I can't believe this debate is still rolling on. The weaknesses in your argument are the following:

 

Most fans would be able to afford them as their fans are in the age bracket that have the highest disposable income in this country. Trust me 40 pounds is nothing for a heck of alot of their obsessive fans.

 

They weren't top of the online orders list as there were FIVE different versions, obviously that is going to split sales and prevent them from being top.

 

I am not suggesting that JLS are selling ONLY based on the multiple covers but say 100,000 people buy two versions and 30,000 of their most hardcore fans buy all five then the huge total really mounts up.

 

It also irritates me every week on the X Factor when Louis Walsh says they were the real winners.

I think its more that they have a large fanbase rather than people buying multiple copies

& I agree it must be annoying for Alexandra fans etc.. when she won the competition and hes always going on about JLS..

Dont really want to continue this now.. personally I did think they were selling a lot because of the slipcases but 5 weeks on I dont think this is the case anymore.. as surely they would have fallen down the chart as a lot of people predicted.. which hasnt happened: 1 - 2 - 2 - 4 - 4 is an impressive chart run & selling over 600k

iTunes has been frozen for ages. RATM would NOT still be that low had it not frozen...
I'd say RATM is top 5 now. But it's certain that the X Factor winner Joesph McElderry will zoom to number one as soon it's released tonight.
If as rumoured Alex, Leona & JLS are performing their new singles.. do you think they will have any impact to the chart.. maybe top 10 ?

I think it's boring to have the same artists on xfactor twice. I would think they would have some mega international artists instead... Hopefully, it's a rumour only...

Well, you know know... I heard "The Climb" today for the first time and it nearly sent me to a come. It's as dull as peeling potatoes.. What were they thinking of?

It's a bit irrevelant to brand acts like Lady GaGa and the BEPs "X Factor acts" only because they performed on X Factor, especially since they would obviously be top10 even without the X Factor. It makes no sense.

And as for Cheryl, she's not a "X Factor act" neither, especially since she never performed this song on the show.

Yes, its lost a day's sales in downloads though, the final would have been better if it was transmitted last night.

 

That won't matter though I don't think :P

 

I would buy that RATM song if it wasn't so awful :/ I joined the Journey campaign when it looked like the winner would be covering that but alas...

Next year we should pick some random, flop hit and make a campaign for it.

Whilst I agree with you - it would show the power of the show if the top 10 spots were all filled with X Factor related acts

Having Leona, Alexandra, JLS on tonight's show is the most boring thing I can imagine. Hardly exciting is it? It might have been, had we not already seen them earlier in the show. The same goes for Robbie and Michael Buble. Has Simon run out of people to get on to perform?

 

Hopefully Leona doesn't sing another ballad, otherwise we'll all be asleep before the results.

JLS are supposedly not doing one of their singles and are doing a 'special' performance. It is way too early for 'One Shot' to begin to be promoted.

 

Alexandra will no doubt be performing 'Broken Heels' but I can't see it going top 10 based on a performance tonight.

 

Leona is probably doing 'I See You' from 'Avatar' and I'm not even sure that is available to download.

but Cheryl is linked with x factor, isn't she? If it hadn't been for it, she wouldn't have released 3 Words...

RATM have been #14 for quite a few hours now...Hit 40 UK won't need to play it if it doesn't go top ten in the next few hours will they? airplay will factor it out of the top 40

I think they freeze it about 5?

There is still time they have moved up in every update.

 

I hope it's sorted by then, but this won't be the first time they've had to play a top 10 that had frozen the day before.

 

 

 

It'd be nice if the Sats could perform 'Ego' on the show but unfortunately they'd probably never be asked.

 

Speaking of 'Ego' I see it's dropped back down to #21. :(
