I think the 20 million they're hoping for is for tonights show - the results show always seems to get more viewers

It'd be nice if the Sats could perform 'Ego' on the show but unfortunately they'd probably never be asked.

Speaking of 'Ego' I see it's dropped back down to #21. :(

When last has X Factor had a girlband perform on the show, has a girlband even performed on the show before or am I forgetting something. Mollie was actually making a really good point by mentioning X Factor for in a way being anti-girlband.

The Sats have a shot at top 10 or top 15 at least in the Xmas week I reckon with all the promo they're squeezing in between December 16th and December 26th. Wouldn't be too worried about #21 now especially seeing how dead quiet their physical release week is going to be and #21's sales at this time of the year is almost equal to a #10's every other time of the year. Maybe they've achieved a new iTunes peak by the time the chart's unfrozen :D

3OH!3 are badly on iTunes. haha. Unfortunately will look set more hastily later in the week.

I think last night was one of the lowest Saturday shows this year just shows the interest has been lost.

no, itunes is frozen.

Am I missing something Irish people as to why the song is so popular over there?

read what I said above. they've been stuck at 374 for a couple of hours now.

I remember Girls Aloud performed last year, but that's all I can think of.

And I wouldn't say that the X Factor is being 'anti-girlband', there just aren't that many of them. Girls Aloud & PCD aren't in an album cycle. Sugababes are a mess & Saturdays aren't really established enough to appear yet imo.

girls aloud have been on it, seen as simon tries to get international acts on as much as possible, name me a girlband that fits in with the names whitney, buble, gaga, rihanna ect.

when the spice girls reformed they picked SCD over x factor as at the time it was the bigger show. i could only think of the spice girls or destiny's child being big enough to warrant being on there and both are inactive bands.

Uh I'm asking why the song is so popular in Ireland not the position here.

Come on 3OH!3, Starstrukk is amazing.

Great to see Lady Gaga at #1 still, Bad Romance is so epic. Glee Cast's version of "Don't Stop Believin" and "Rehab" are released at midnight, hope they can do well.

but Cheryl is linked with x factor, isn't she? If it hadn't been for it, she wouldn't have released 3 Words...

And if it hadn't been for Girls Aloud, she would have never met Will.i.am and would have never been a X Factor judge. And if she didn't apply to Popstars, she wouldn't be here neither. Etc etc... We could go a long way back with "if it hadn't been...". The fact is she's become a name and and poptsar on its own now.

Oh, and btw, thanks for your pm calling me a "f*****" and that's it. I did quite not understand it...

This is slightly off topic, but XF got 'low' ratings because it was the penultimate Saturday before Christmas and most people are going out around this time of year. The figures will be much higher tonight. I think Cheryl did well to get that many viewers, she is often overestimated on here. I am surprised Cheryl is thinking of leaving XF though.

Shame 'The Climb' will be #1. Really terrible song.

Viewing figures for Cheryl's show aren't that low really - slightly above average for that time in fact (last week's show in that time got 4.8m). It was never going to get the 8m Ga party got as that was on much later. It was also up against Strictly Come Dancing, of course.

All of the telly shows were down last though, X Factor final down on last year and previous weeks despite it being the final, Strictly Come Dancing semi final got only 8m, Casulty about 1m down, etc.

It's still helped 3 words though, just wish iTunes would unfreeze!

It got millions more viewers in the same weekend last year so Christmas can't really be used as an excuse.

Cheryl is completely overestimated here though I agree with you on that.
