Personal Choices:

 

 

Stacey - You've Got The Love - F/Machine version

Joe - The Closer I Get To You - Luther Vandross

Danyl - Hello - Lionel Ritchie

Olly - Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

 

 

Not sure how true these are, only rumours atm but from the usual source... Fearing for Stacey if true, especially her MJ choice :(

Maybe charts should always have a place for

Chasing Cars

in the Top 40? Because it's yoyoing is quite annoying. :lol:

Oh what a coinky dink Danyl gets 'Man In The Mirror'.

Not really blown away by any of those choices tbh though hey here's to a 'Chasing Cars' climb next week :P

Out of those song choices on paper Stacey has the weakest selection IMHO.

 

Danyl the favourite to fail to make the final really does have to sing badly to not pick up the votes.

I think Stacey has some really good choices

 

I honestly think Joe will go downhill tonight, he has two bland song choices and its the same as last week- surely he wont get a standing ovation this time.

 

Im worried for Olly, but he could surpirse us

 

Danyl probably doing the shouting-a-quiet-song method like he did to Your song last week, i dont think he will be spectacular and I hope he goes

I'm sure she'll do fine. Dannii wouldn't have picked that choice if she wasn't certain Stacey could pull it off. Either way I'm looking forward so much to seeing Stacey in both songs. I'm interested to hear her interpretations of the songs.

By contrast, I think she's got the best choices. My favourite MJ song and the personal choice that's most in touch with the charts. (despite it being a cover of an old song) The MJ song would also see her doing some movement, I do find it hard to imagine her performing it though.

 

Joe continues with his dated, traditional, sound. Danyl goes for obvious choices that are a bit safe for him. Olly gets an MJ song that should be good for him, but makes a mistake of picking possibly the safest ballad for himself. I thought the contestants would pick something modern, only Stacey did that. :(

Not really. I know it was released in the last five years, but it's been hanging around so long in the charts and been overplayed to death on commercial radio and TV shows that it's just tired now. I'd almost prefer him to do one of his more traditional songs, he's rubbish on ballads.

Loving Stacey's choice, like her own choice. It's more of a soft ballad, which is what she excels on.

Stacey's last choice changes everything. That is a sensational song for her to sing.
