Ergh Peter Kay number 1 again..

I wish these charity singles could raise money for charity but not chart..

To be fair, I think this made at least a fair amount of money out of sales that didn't count for the chart (video sales).

Its Rihanna worst release imho apart from IILTYW and HTILY she doesnt suit slow/mid tempo tracks.
So many amazing Rihanna songs that should've reached #1, this will be another.. :(

I agree, it's odd that Take A Bow (although I love it) got to #1 yet classics like S.O.S, Unfaithful, Don't Stop The Music and Disturbia all missed the top spot

So now that there's no spoilers then here's an interesting post irishguy28 (person with the charts) did:

But of course...with another 6-figure sale.

Rihanna sold considerably less than half of the Children In Need single.

So even with X Factor and having a sizable lead for most of the week on iTunes then she didn't even sell half of the CIN single!?!?!

Peter Kay's physicals must be monstorous :o

Just seen the sales on haven which I assume will be posted here soon and

111637 Peter Kay's All Animated Star Band

51760 Rihanna

That's low for Rihanna

What do IILTYW and HTILY stand for?

I'd just like to point out that this new Rihanna song is terrible, a very good reason why it missed the top spot

I think Take A Bow is my favorite from all those singles, closely followed by Dont Stop The Music. I love it

I love Rihanna's song, it's really dark and epic, her vocals shine on it too.

Looking at those sales for Peter Kay, Lady GaGa looks like she could have a bit of a fight on her hands next week... unless it does like a 'Meet Me Halfway'.

What do IILTYW and HTILY stand for?

OK tune from Timbland, I think the Auto-tuning and this record made it a better tune.

Reggie's jealous of Scott Mills talking to a bunch of hot women next week. Firstly, it won't be a problem :kink: Secondly, I'd have a problem with him taking the Christmas chart of me if anything!

It shows the diabolical sate of the UK charts if Peter Kaye can get the No 1 position.....

I do not agree with charity singles in the charts...I think it is an unfair advantage over other artists -_-

& NO...I have not lost my sense of humour ;)

Thank Jesus Reggie won't be doing the Xmas chart.

I agree, but it just proves how little he cares about the chart that he doesn't care :(

Precocious R&B vocalist/pianist Alicia Keys was hand-picked by Clive Davis as one of the flagship artists for his post-Arista label, J Records. No doubt he was as impressed by her multitude of skills (Keys took a large role in the writing, arranging, and production of her debut album) as by her music, which mates contemporary hip-hop accoutrements to an old-school soul sensibility a la Jill Scott or D'Angelo. Only 20 years old at the time of the album's release, Keys already seemed poised for a major career built upon her soulful voice and classically trained piano chops. While hip-hop played a much bigger role on her second effort, 2003's THE DIARY OF ALICIA KEYS, it was a smash nonetheless, and subsequent recordings have further pushed the boundaries of R&B - HMV
