And what's wrong with that JOURNEY thing? Its doing brilliant and I ve never heard of it. It must have got no promo at all. Is it that good then?

 

Joe performed it on the X Factor. It's arguably one of his best performances. It entered the top 40 after he first sang it, then dropped out and now looks to be returning again!

People laughed when I said Robbie could have the xmas no2. It doesn't seem that distant now does it? (Well I don't count RATM, it is actually a project) No4 is fine as well I think. Honestly, I had started doubting whether he could go top5. It is a good song but it has been underperforming .

Amazon are selling RATM for 29p. It was ratified early this afternoon that the track would count towards the chart so most people are buying from there, not from I-tunes.

I tunes sales decreased a little this afternoon though. Amazon have a different ratio of sales than I-tunes.

It just proves what excellent promotion is offered by the X-Factor (especially the final) in comparison to other shows. Rob promoted YKM on lots of stuff with, lets face it, pretty 'meh' results as the song, whilst undoubtedly better than Bodies, is pretty ordinary. Had it not been for X-Factor ... your prophecy would certainly be nowhere near coming even remotely possible. Lucky Mr W was given a chance to appear twice in such a short time. He indeed has friends in high places.

I am really sick of this argument - what's the POINT of saying 'it wouldn't do well if blah blah blah'? That is very clearly NOT the case, so why are you bothering saying how successful it would be, if you know, it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SONG? It's like saying Poker Face would not be so successful if it was Put A Donk On It. Yes, we KNOW the featured artist is the major driving force of its success, but Katy Perry IS there and there is NOTHING you can do about it. There is NO Katy-less version on iTunes at the moment.

im really not too interested in the chart this week. Most of the music is rubbish.

Cheryls stuck inbetween rihanna and katy perry - thats some mens ultimate fantasy.

I'm not saying THE CLIMB is good... It's awful anyway. But Miley should NOT have any success at the expense of XF whatsoever.
