He'll almost certainly be #1 next week. This protest was all about attacking Simon Cowell control of the Xmas charts via his four month free advert on ITV.

Wouldn't it be funny if he didn't make number 1 at all

the peopel who created that facebook must be so pleased with themselves right now and so they should be :)

btw did this get to number 1 in ireland too..?

Everyone saying it's the worse number one, it's not about that, I'm no fan of the track but this is about the charts representing pop culture and the public have spoke!

f*** music fasicm

f*** conforming

f*** unoriginality

f*** you Cowell!

Yeah becuase im sure their independant label SONY will be gutted lol

Yeah instead you done what some facebook page said. Well Done. Everyone who bought it is as much of a sheep as the ones who bought Joe

This :(

ROFL @ Simon introducing Annie Mac & Nick Grimshaw's show and saying 'Sometimes music is really good like Same Difference, George Sampson or the new Leona record. Hahahaha.

#2 but Xmas for them this friday's charts.

this is stupid really.. you're all just happy that a home-grown act created by the ultimate embassador of British music in the world is being beaten by a has-been US grunge group... this is really silly.

it's one more reason for Simon to evacuate the UK and emigrate to the US where he will be appreciated more.

Now that would be a result! :yahoo:

Absolutely fantastic, I'm gobsmacked. What a well worked campaign, and a superb tune to boot.

Glad to see Joe's taken it all in good spirit. He really is a nice lad, hope he gets away from that evil puppet-master Cowell as fast as he can.

next year's campaign should be for Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up

no, that was already number 1 in the 80's...

it should be for someone who usually doesn't stand a chance of being number 1 on a normal week, such as Little Boots, Goldfrapp or Peaches.

btw i think they should have chosen 'F*** You' by Lily Allen as the campaign song, i was so gutted they chose RATM instead

Shouldn't we all be turning against RATM now since they've got a hit single and this can only mean they are commerical crap? Way too uber cool for all that, ya?! LOL!!

Bad tune from 3Oh3, I can't believe this tune charted higher in the UK than in the US and the video didn't help

That's exactly what I thought

Yeah, RATM is Number 1 maybe the most intense #1 since Iron Maiden released "Bring Your Daughter To THe Slaughter" in early '91
