Can't wait. Naturally.

I'm personally hoping for a May release for the single and album. Hopefully it'll be as good as 'All I Ever Wanted' (I'm not expecting 'Breakaway' standards, but it'd be a nice bonus!)

Finishing up with Toby Gad in the studio today, woohoo! Also, tonight two of my favorite people (Melissa Peterman & Reba) will be on CMT 8/7 central on my new favorite show "Working Class" so tune in I you like to laugh :)

ooft Toby Gad  Loved his work with The Veronicas. If Kelly's comeback is anything like that I will be more than pleased.

PS I record my last song on the 25th of this month and then we will be releasing the album! This album was influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there's a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs.
Oh and also one of my favorites on the new album is highly influenced by Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Eric Hutchinson wrote it ....the album is gonna be a great pop record! I can't wait for y'all to hear it!

woah woah woah woah woah. what happened to the electro-funk feel of the album? :( D':

She always has a list of who influenced her for each album and they all sound relatively the same lol. I have every confidence the album will be amazing :)

Just want that first bloody single already. I guess they'll be aiming for the top spot what with the success of MLWSWY so we might have to wait a while for Gaga's reign to end...

:o Cool.

'Wildflower' Sheryl Crow though, not 'Detours' (as good as it is) or '100 Miles From Memphis'

Sounds pretty funky to me :P

I want an album with a bunch of 'If I Can't Have You"'s :P

THIS. One of my favourite Kelly songs.

Looking forward to new material from kelly :D

Really hope she can be successful with this era!

That has potential to be extremely epic.

That could go either way... It didn't help Anastacia much last time around...

Interview with Bonnie McKee who was in the Studio with Kelly for the new album!

After penning number one hits for Katy Perry and Britney Spears, singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee has been snapped up by Kelly Clarkson to work on her upcoming fifth studio album. Bonnie spilled the juice about the collaboration during an interview with AlexKazemi.com, admitting that her expectations are high for Kelegend’s project.

“I did a bunch of work with Kelly Clarkson last summer, it’s looking like that will make the album. She really has an incredible voice and I’m excited to see what happens, I have high expectations for that album!”

In addition to writing for others, Bonnie is also working on her own album (the follow up to her 2004 flop debut Trouble). Producing the record will be Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Greg Kurstin, and Josh Abraham, but Bonnie’s “main collaborator” on the disc will be up & comer Oliver ‘Oligee’ Goldstein, who you’d know from Leighton Meester’s “Somebody to Love” and “Your Love’s A Drug”.

“I think the main difference in writing for myself versus other artist is that lyrically, I take more chances. I’ve learned through my time in the songwriting trenches, that when I write something ballsy, a lot of the labels will be like “Oh, so-and-so would never say that” or “It’s too smart”. I tend to simplify and sweeten a majority of the things I write for other people, I like to take risk on my own stuff, go a little bit ‘left field’.”

“I take being the “next Katy Perry” as a compliment, because I really love her work. But I will probably be more like Katy Perry’s evil twin. It will have the poptastic dance-ability but with more of an edge. I want to borrow from some of the eighties glory… big, anthemic sing along songs with crazy modern production. I am also toying with the idea of changing my name for this project, since I’ve kind of already done “Bonnie Mckee.” I’m interested in reemerging with a completely new identity, sound, and perspective.”

Katy Perry already has an evil twin, and her name is Ke$ha! Or is Ke$ha Lady GaGa’s evil twin? Actually, I think Ke$ha is everybody’s evil twin.

Until Bonnie (or whatever she’s calling herself in the future) re-emerges as a solo star, you’ll have to make do with enjoying her skills as a songwriter on your fave pop tracks. She’s written a massive six songs for Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale album, including the lead single “Hold It Against Me”, and she’s hoping that all six will make the final cut. With Dr. Luke and Max Martin exec-producing, there’s a good chance they probably will.

You can check out Bonnie’s full interview over at AlexKazemi.com.

Really hope we get some proper single and album news soon. I wanna know when things are happening! :(

I hope we get another one of Kelly's traditional massive productions with the huge choruses.

The album has been pushed back to september

I recently found out that my album won't be coming out until September ....the album has been recorded but I can't release it until then. I realize that is a long time but that's the best time to release it apparently so I'm sorry for the wait but I promise you it sounds great
