Posted January 1, 201016 yr http://i37.tinypic.com/20zy9dy.jpg This has been a huge success in the US and is finally coming over here on January 2nd on the BBC. So, in a month we'll have this, Sky's Got To Dance and Dancing On Ice. A dance overload in the UK to start the new year. Produced by Popstars creator Nigel Lythgoe who's also on the panel, he'll be joined by Arlene Phillips and one other guest judge per week. Most importantly SYTYCD gives us the return of Cat Deeley! :P Anyone else looking forward to this? I'm not into the dance shows but i'm glad we finally have one that showcases talents of people besides z-list 'celebs'.
January 1, 201016 yr I think it should be good. I've never watched the US version but have heard great things about it. I was reading up on the bios of the contestants and many of them seem to be posh rich kids who have gone to prestigious dance schools which may be hard for the regulsar audience to tap into. I think the Got To Dance will be more about undiscovered talent. As for Dancing On Ice can that please be stopped Phillip Schofields awful presenting and the Z list celebrities on it are horrific [Danny Young give me a break].
January 1, 201016 yr Author EDIT FROM EARLIER: Louise Redknapp has been announced as the third full-time judge.
January 2, 201016 yr I've always wanted a UK version of this show since I saw this... gyj9k-m5y5o ! Amazing! Watching this now. I wish it was just the final stages already though :( Auditions are rubbish for Dance shows! Ah wel still watching! :D
January 2, 201016 yr LOL! Someone just fell off the STAGE!! :o Billy (??) (The guy from Edinburgh(sp?) - danced to 'Pump It' by BEP's) FTW! :o That was AMAZING!
January 2, 201016 yr I caught about the first half an hour of it, and have to say I think it's total dross.
January 2, 201016 yr Did anyone notice that the women who fell off stage was Fabia from Britain's Got Talent? http://www.pantylinepress.com/plpblog/plpblogimages/british-burlesque-dancer.jpg
January 2, 201016 yr I caught about the first half an hour of it, and have to say I think it's total dross.Yeah it was boring. But I hate auditions for dance shows and stuff. They should have just gone straight to the live shows imo.
January 3, 201016 yr Did anyone notice that the women who fell off stage was Fabia from Britain's Got Talent? http://www.pantylinepress.com/plpblog/plpblogimages/british-burlesque-dancer.jpg That's where I seen her before I didn't recognise her... with her kit on  Its nice seeing Nigel Lythgoe back on British TV
January 3, 201016 yr I loved this tbh. I saw the season just past of SYTYCD Australia. The Contempory and Broadway styles can be very entertaining, but there was just some phenominal dancers on the Aussie show. The Live shows should be good, but i'd rather they were hosted by Natalie Bassingthwaighte than Cat Deeley.
January 9, 201016 yr Author My favourite was the last one, Charlie & co. But they gave her really not good coments apart from Louise. :(
January 16, 201016 yr Author I do prefer Alistair to Gavin, it was just such a shame he got the boot when his Mum would be coming to the show for the first time next week. :( Charlie ftw.
January 16, 201016 yr AH FFS! I knew I was missing something whilst watching 'My Sister's Keeper'! (GREAT film though. Highly recommend) Will have to catch up on iPlayer :drama:
