I've just checked this song out, and it seems good. Reminds me of No Air though. And it's no Issues; otherwise I really like it :D

A good single choice, one of my favourites from the album.

 

Does anyone else think 'Open Up' would make a great single?

I could imagine a really corny/daft but brilliant video for it.

 

It's such a shame this era has not gone as planned, maybe it was too quick for a second album, there again, Girls Aloud had an album every year from '03 to '08.

I love 'Open Up' but it wouldn't make a good single, it's lyrics are laughable even for them!

I think its great ; should make the album pass 100,000 ; they are going in the right order. If they released this, then wordshaker and then a new trck from a new album , but spaced them all out a bit that would be great.

Next album they should release 2 tracks AND THEN the album imo. That's how 'Chasing Lights' was done wasn't it? :unsure: It would have been a hit had they done this I think. Released it after 'Ego' in January, they could have easily had a Top 5 album imo

IMO there was no need for 'Work'. It now just stands out like a sore thumb for stalling at #22.

It should have been a summer release for 'Forever Is Over' followed by 'Ego' in early October, then the album a week later.

Terrible choice. I understand they wanna go with a ballad, but there are better ballads on the album

It shouldnt have been a release for FIO in the first place. If anything that's what killed the album.

Forever Is Over would have been fine as the first Wordshaker single had they launched the album after the second single - basically acting as the If This Is Love of the second era. With Ego as the Up and Here Standing as the Issues. This could have happened with every era and their careers could just go round and round and round and then they ruined this by releasing Wordshaker after Forever Is Over only!

and its been said that there will probably be another album :) and the saturdays said that when they start album three later this year it will be alot harder :) <3

and imo i think denial should have been the third single :)

 

and hopefully if here standing is the third we will maybe get a performance on dancing on ice !? imagine that a big grand paino and the girls like they were at t4 stars of 2009 with the wind machines behind them with them cloth things

I hate the argument that FIO was a good single choice as it "reached number 2" yes that might be true....but its chart run was appalling and its sales are very low for a number 2 "hit"!

 

It did absolutely NOTHING for the album...and alienated a lot of fans (including myself). Ego is amazing though....if only they had released it first, then Here Standing :)

Yeah it was like 300/350 coppies between them.

I wouldn't have gone for Here Standing as the next single choice personally but it is a good song and thinking about it I suppose it could do well. I think Wordshaker and Open Up would make really good singles.

I LOVE this song. One of my favourites off the album, goosebump moment. Love love love it.

The video may aswell feature them on a cliff, then being swept off the edge into a pit of unsigned acts...

Going to flop. Will peak at around #20 I am thinking. The Saturdays - Wordshaker era is failing, imo the best thing thet could do is end it now, have a good few months to come up with something new and fresh, come back in Aug/Sept with something brilliant. All this is getting very samey...
