Its my OPINION ffs. I don't have OCD perfectionist standards when it comes to classifying what as a hit and in my eyes AAG was a massive hit! Any top ten in my eyes is a massive hit, B-rye you come across as if you are trying to dictate whats right and whats wrong and then force it off onto others! Not gonna work me! AAG was a massive hit in my eyes and by my standards. Get the hell over it already! :/ I'm not delusional, I think many people share the same standards as I do when it comes to saying a top 10 single was a hit.

Oh I give up.

You're wrong, and you're delusional.

So if AAG is a massive hit then what is Poker Face?
I think this will just miss out on the top 10, guessing chart position 11.
Wear My Kiss will peak at #10, I am thinking. I think its a great song personally but I prefer Thank You For The Heartbreak.

Read my post properly. We're not denying it was a hit. But it was not a massive hit. Whether you want it to be or not. It's not an opinion it is a fact. It spent five weeks in the Top 40. Therefore it was a mild hit. Deal with it.

Why do we need to include massive or minor???

It was a HIT...it made the Top 40...end of.

There should be no hit or flops imo...what we should say is "About A Girl reached #8 and sold around 140k...which in comparison to other Sugababes singles...is not too bad. Although i expected it to sell alot more and reach #1." For example.

And please do not be petty with my language...i'll write how i want. :)

Would like to add: The only reason i'm saying this is because i'm pretty much pissed of with arguments being cause by ONE word.

AAG was a minor hit, calling it anything but that undermines the sugababes major hits like push the button and about you now because they were in a different league altogether.

I think Top 10 is probably the highest it will reach, there last two singles didn't do all that well compared

to previous successes. Doesn't bode well for the album when it's released.

I couldn't be assed reading this whole thing so sorry if someone has said something similar i'm not copying you! :P It's some of the usual up to the minute production tricks yet sounds sort of dated at the same time. Another RedOne i'd wager a guess? The "dah-dah-dah" bit at the start reminds me of Britney's f*** me, but the whole thing actually sounds more like the saturdays than the Sugababes.

Probably top 10, but not too high, Feb is quite quiet after all. Its ok, just not that innovative for launching a new album :-(

It's Fernando Garibay

Thanks Steve, that explains it. I like RedOne better then!

Kristinia DeBarge - Goodbye has very similar tune.

That's because they both sample Steam - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye :P

You may also notice it in Chillin' (Wale) and D.O.A. (Jay-Z) :P

It's such a shame to see this band decline so much over the last few years. Even though they've always been thoroughly mainstream, at their peak they still managed to be edgy and classy (when compared with their biggest pop competition at the time - McFly, Girls Aloud, etc.). Then when Mutya left, they descended into generic, throwaway pop, but atleast most of the time it was good throwaway pop (About You Now obviously being a prime example). But Get Sexy and this are just plain awful (About A Girl was decent-ish, I'll admit). Wear My Kiss really does sound like a rejected B-Side. From Girls Aloud. Back in the days when they were making songs like 'Long Hot Summer' their A-Side.

Unless a brilliant pop song falls into their laps (or rather, their record label's laps) within their next 6 months, they're finished.

Im afraid to say i think this era is going to be pretty floptastic, which is a shame actually as their previous two singles are actually both favourite sugababes songs of mine

Get Sexy started off promisingly but quickly fell down the chart... About A Girl charted at a decent enough position and even that pretty much slumped from then onwards.

Wear My Kiss is good but pales in comparison to GS/AAG so im hoping for a top 10 placing, if not then they are buggered really, even moreso albumwise.

Miss Everything NEEDS to be released next though, now THAT is a tune!

On a side-note: the last three singles i have preferred with Keishas vocals rather than Jades, which doesnt bode well for me. I just feel like from now on, if i dont connect to the song on a big level, i will always wonder how it would have sounded with Keisha instead. Nothing against Jade, because i love her, but i feel her voice is just TOO good for the sugababes and it just doesnt gel too well with the other 2.
