January 11, 201015 yr Is releasing three singles before the album itself going to depress sales of the album? Top 20. Edited January 11, 201015 yr by kangarooz
January 11, 201015 yr I fear for this era of the Sugababes  Love the song but think it will now probably be lucky to go Top 20!
January 11, 201015 yr I love this song and I was thinking Top 5 fo sho but the feedback from members of BJ has been less than inspiring :( I say Top 10 still though!
January 11, 201015 yr :o The feedback to the video is abit shocking they all look good. Heidi doesnt look as good as usual but she still looks good.Id say number 4 its better than AAG. Hopefully will help sell the album ^_^
January 11, 201015 yr think the video is great but the song is dull........ I want them to start this era all over again! maybe if the album bombs i get a feeling thats what people think they'll work on a more exciting new sound?!
January 11, 201015 yr It's a bit too general to do anything major i'd say between 12 - 7 AAG was an awesome party tune but this seems a little half-hearted and a little bland... Maybe they need to forget Sweet 7 and make a fresh start with a new sound and new songs because with better material they could probably do massively well in the new line-up :D
January 11, 201015 yr Is releasing three singles before the album itself going to depress sales of the album? Top 20. The reason the album will suffer is because 'Get Sexy' will be long forgotten by the time the album comes around, 'About A Girl' was only a minor hit and this will do exactly the same if not worse. The album is going to bomb pretty spectacularly basically. I do love this song though, more than the other two. :(
January 11, 201015 yr Get Sexy has sold around 160k so far wiv promos About A Girl has sold around 112k so far with no promo Wear My Kiss Is the best song out of all three and the girls will do a few promos with it so its a defo top ten i think!
January 11, 201015 yr Just wondering.. why was the release date changed To pull it closer to the album which was pushed again to March 8th
January 11, 201015 yr I think it depends on Airplay. I havnt heard the song on any Radio stations yet
January 12, 201015 yr The song is awful so i am guessing top 5. Edited January 12, 201015 yr by kimberley
January 12, 201015 yr Of course it will do top ten because no one has the album yet so they will all buy the single

The album is going to bomb pretty spectacularly basically. Um, are you for real? First of all, how will people forget Get Sexy. A #2 smash, and the last single released by the Babes with Keisha on it, it's one of their most distinct sounding and memorable singles they've released, if not the most distinct and memorable! Secondly, a correction, About A Girl was not a minor hit  or have you been unaware of its peak and sales tally? It was a top 10 smash that's looking to end off sales between 130 and 140k! And lastly, do you have a talent for predicting bad omens? Just because you THINK the album will bomb, doesn't mean it will. In fact any logical prediction will be that it will do anything but. Who wouldn't want to buy a new album by one of the most successful girl groups of all time, an album that's already yielded two top 10 smashes that have both sold brilliantly - and with Wear My Kiss most likely to follow the same trend - exactly what will realistically cause the album to bomb? Nothing!

Nothing! 1. Get Sexy was released almost 5 months ago. It will be forgotten, especially since it wasn't a #1. Sure, it may be their most distinct and memorable, but that's mostly because it's awful compared to some of their older singles. 2. Low top 10 and <150k sales is pretty much bang on the description of 'minor hit'. 3. The only time we can make a 'logical prediction' of whether the album will bomb or not (it will) is after the release of WMK. If it outpeaks, outsells, and outruns say, AAG by a significant amount, the album will do okay. Otherwise, it'll pretty much be a 3-15-36-55-x chart run. I'd hardly call a single that went 2-8-10 and another single that had just one week in the top ten at #8 a top 10 'smash' for a group of the calibre of Sugababes, and neither have sold brilliantly, as they are both not even in the top 100 best sellers of the year. For comparisons there, Take That's Greatest Day which was released in 2008 is #100 on the list for 2009. Get Sexy couldn't even outsell GREATEST DAY. Saying that WMK will follow the trend of GS and AAG is right though, I'll give you that - it'll peak 6 places lower and bomb down twice as fast as AAG, say a 14-29-37-54 sort of chart run. That is unless they really do a LOT of promo, they'll surely need it. And finally, if I'm wrong about this and WMK/S7 are absolutely massive, feel free to stick my head in an oven, but until then, I'm going to predict a spectacular bomb.

I think you are worng about WMK but you are most probably correct about S7. WMK will easily be Top 10 first week and will more than likely have a GS run at the start or maybe better depending on the promo. This will hit between 3-7 though.
January 12, 201015 yr I was waiting for some loons to be hotter in here. :heehee: I used to be a fan of Sugababes and now I follow their career but I can't see the major future for the album if WMK isn't, say, Top5 at lease with some staying power. Relatively high sales for GS & AAG are simply due to the massive sales in 2009 overall, if they were released in 'Taller' era, for example, those sales would be much more poor. 2-8-10-15-20-33 isn't an example of great chart-run also, neither as 8-13-23-34-37. If WMK is a minor hit the album still will have a high peak because it's relatively quiet period in the music and Sugas still have some fanbase, but then it might do a C&S, bombing to 20s or so on its second week. The next single releases might save it though, but, seeing what e.g. #9 hit 'Ego' is doing for Saturdays' 'Wordshaker', I can say that even the good follow-up singles aren't a guarantee for the constant sales of album.
January 12, 201015 yr it's a great song... should be top 5. but they should've released 'Little miss everything' with Sean Kingston. A surefire number 1 song!!!!
January 12, 201015 yr God awful song, the band have slipped into Generic City when they used to be original, it's sad really. Top 20 will be lucky.
