Nope. Doesn't tick any boxes for me. It sounds like Stiffed but not good.
'Born Free' sounds incredible! It's very different from her other music, but I really like it.

I don't like it on first listen :(

But tbh i generally don't like her aside from incredible 'Paper Planes' of course. She just can't click :(

Same, I'm not really a fan of her Paper Planes aside. This hasn't changed my mind either :(

I LOVE Born Free. It's awesome! It sounds like the opening track, kinda reminds me of Bamboo Banga.

I am looking forward to her album soooo much. Space Odyssey is great too.

I don't get the fuss either. All of her music sounds incredibly try-hard, like it was made specifically to please the hipster crowd. Jimmy is amazing though because she actually sings properly and there's a decent melody.

Lol, I'm sorry Lady Gaga but Telephone has got nothing on this video. M.I.A. has done it again!!

I have red hair myself so the video was kinda intruiging/creepy. I would have loved to star in this vid. though :P.

What an incredible video. It makes the Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up & Aphex Twins - Windowlicker videos seem as tame as a Miley Cyrus video & Lady GaGa's Telephone video seem about as subversive as a Leona Lewis video.

tracklistinggg (apparently) :;

01 'The Message'

02 'Born Free'

03 'Meds and Feds'

04 'Lovealot'

05 'Tequilla'

06 'It Is What It Is'

07 'XXXO'

08 'Tell Me Why'

09 'Story Told'

10 'Space'

I was hoping for more than 10 tracks, but M.I.A.'s albums are always amazing so it doesn't really matter.

I'm especially looking forward to 'Tequila'.

M.I.A. Video Banned By Youtube

M.I.A.'s hard-to-watch new video has been banned by YouTube.com due to its graphic violence and scenes featuring the killing of young boys.

Romain Gavras' Born Free video premiered on M.I.A.'s official website on Monday (26Apr10), but the hitmaker has revealed the promo will not be posted on YouTube.

In a Twitter.com post, M.I.A. initially suggested bosses at her record label UMG were behind the ban, but later clarified that UMG officials were not to blame.

In the promo, military police round up red-headed boys in a series of violent raids, transport them to a remote desert location and then force them to run through a minefield, beating those who make it to death.

In one particularly disturbing scene, a 10-year-old boy is shot in the head in an effort to force the others to start running.

:o

Amazing video though! So intense!

I can see why it's been banned though.

Love the song too!

I was not prepared for the fat couple shagging. That said amazing video, though the song is a bit boring.
