March 22, 201015 yr Author The album as a whole is brilliant. It's matched if not bettered my expectations :cheer: Easily the album of the year for me.
March 22, 201015 yr No confirmed sources, but Hearts Don't Lie may be the next single according to Wikipedia, but I wouldn't trust it... I'd love it it if it was tho
March 22, 201015 yr A lot of the album washed right over me on first listen but I'll persist seeing as others have said it's a massive grower - the first three tracks, Invisible Girl and Glue stood out though :D
March 22, 201015 yr Author First time through it's about 8.5-9/10. Invisible Girl, On A Mission, Hearts Don't Lie, Love Me Cos, Defender, Boys, Robots, Glue are all 10/10's on first listen
March 22, 201015 yr Are you ACTUALLY KIDDING? Half the songs sounds like singles practically! I can very easily imagine What If You Knew, Invisible Girl, Superhot and Robots on the radio, and perhaps Love Me Cos and Hearts Don't Lie too. I think what you must mean is that you just don't like the album which isn't the same thing.
March 24, 201015 yr Im with Jark on this one. Plenty of single choices - namely in Invisible Girl and Hearts Dont Lie. Im not sure how well Glue would work either but tbh theres very little that wouldnt work to some extent. Unfortunetly though it's fallen to #21 in the midds :(
March 24, 201015 yr It's not been confirmed or anything but people seem to be under the impression that What If You Knew is next - here's hoping! I can imagine it helping the album out.
March 25, 201015 yr Author WIYK would be good  I with Jark and Aled on this, as with LTBL she's got a fair few single choices. They'd best get them right this time tho...
March 25, 201015 yr my album review then after 4 or 5 listens; 1. On A Mission - Still think this is a great comeback single - incredibly catchy and different from anything on her first album. But I've never thought it was 'best song of the year' material or anything... 9/10 2. Hearts Don't Lie - Funky! Love the 'my heartbeats ticking' bit  9/10 3. What If You Knew - Completely agree with what Jark said about it being lyrically on the same wavelenght as Jordin Sparks' Next To You (probably one of my three favourite tracks on that album). Love this, fantastic chorus. 9/10 4. Love Me 'Cos You Want To - The production on this song is great. Liking the tune a lot too, not as good as the first three though. 8.5/10 5. Defender - Glad there are slower songs on this album too. This is enjoyable but my least favourite song so far. Not that it's bad though! 8/10 6. Robots - Any song referencing Robots is well known to generally be fantastic by default. Here's another one! 8.5/10 7. Superhot - Very Kylie (I Believe In You-era ish) meets Goldfrapp. Another brilliant song, and one of the biggest growers. Didn't love it at first. 8/10 8. Boys - It's not bad, but definitely my least favourite to this point. 7/10 9. Invisible Girl - Obviously P!nk influenced but this is rarely a bad thing. This is easily an album highlight - killer chorus! 9/10 10. Glue - Like so many other songs recently it's instant, yet also a grower. The quirkiness hit me straight away, for a slower song at least, but the tune has really wormed its way into my head to the point where I adored it. Probably my favourite track on the album in fact. 9.5/10 11. Let Me Know - Classic soul-pop Cilmi, doesn't really fit with the rest of the album but it's not bad. Glad she didn't stick with this 'sound' for the whole of this album though. 7/10 12. Superman - This could have easily fit with the Lessons To Be Learned era too. Decent, but again, not one of my favourites. 7/10 13. Sweet About Me (Twenty Ten Version) - One of my favourite songs of all time, certainly of the noughties at least. This version shockingly does it justice but I'll always prefer the original. At least it's not a You Are What You Are (Beautiful) Christina style monstrosity though! 8.5/10 Verdict: Unsurprisingly great! A worthy successor to the brilliant Lessons To Be Learned, Gabriella certainly hasn't suffered 'the sophomore slump'. If it flops then it's because the public don't know a good thing when they see one, not because it's a bad album! As for the next single...Invisible Girl is screaming to be released. I'm not sure how well Glue, What If You Knew and Hearts Don't Lie would go down, but I'd love for any/all of these to be singles too! I'm not going to do an average rate as a final score because I think it's an unfair way to mark albums. An album with ten perfect 10's and one zero will be bought right down by that anomaly, but much rather that than an album with eleven 9's.
March 25, 201015 yr WIYK would be good  I with Jark and Aled on this, as with LTBL she's got a fair few single choices. They'd best get them right this time tho... don't tempt fate or else Let Me Know will be up next :drama:
March 25, 201015 yr My ratings and mini review based on first listen: 10.0 ‘On a Mission’ 08.5 ‘Hearts Don’t Lie’ 09.5 ‘What If You Knew’ 09.5 ‘Love Me Cos You Want To’ 10.0 ‘Defender’ 10.0 ‘Robots’ 09.5 ‘Superhot’ 09.5 ‘Boys’ 07.5 ‘Invisible Girl’ 10.0 ‘Glue’ 06.5 ‘Let Me Know’ 07.0 ‘Superman’ 10.0 ‘Sweet About Me’ (Twenty Ten Version) ‘On a Mission’ is obviously fabulous, and without doubt the best song on the album (but has obviously had time for me to grow and love it). ‘Hearts Don’t Lie’ is a good song, but the verses are a bit of an earache. I really like ‘What If You Knew’, and it has a lovely chorus but the length is a bit short. ’Defender’ and ‘Robots’ are really good slower songs that are standouts for me, while ‘Superhot’ and ‘Boys’ bring the tempo back up nicely for me. ‘Invisible Girl’ is ok, but is actually quite weak. ‘Glue’ is just simply divine and is one of the highlights of the album for me, living up to preview I heard beforehand. I didn’t really enjoy ‘Let Me Know’ which is filler-ish and along with ‘Invisible Girl’ are the weakest songs on the album. ‘Superman’ is correctly placed on the album, but disappoints after a few good songs and is a bit filler. The ‘Sweet About Me’ (Twenty Ten Version) is quite a good remix, pleasantly surprised. Overall 'Ten' is an average album but is not really strong. None of the tracks (barring the lead single) were too memorable after one listen and I don't feel feel enthusiastic about playing it again. There are a few single choices, but they are surrounded by some filler material. My overall album rating after one listen: 06.5 'Ten' Youve given all of the songs incredibly high scores in comparison to your final summary and overall rating. With only three songs rated under 8.5/10, I would have thought you would have loved it :o
March 25, 201015 yr 'What If You Knew' has grown to be my favourite track now, 'Let Me Know' and 'Glue' are also two of my favourites.
March 25, 201015 yr don't tempt fate or else Let Me Know will be up next :drama:'Let Me Know' is my favourite :( LOL. It's her 'Sweet & Amazing (Make It The Best)' though isn't it? I'm one of literally only a couple (probably Silas :P) who loves it. This album keeps growing. I really hope it's run is more Rihanna 'Rated R' rather than Sugababes 'Sweet 7' though.
March 25, 201015 yr I thought that about FreeBit's review too Rich. Your review is great. I'm so glad to see the love for What If You Knew after it looked initially as if it would be yet another one of those songs which only I loved (see This Can't Be Love by Nat Bass). If it really is the next single they could do with moving the June 21st date forwards.
March 25, 201015 yr Is it wrong that i'd love a release of Let Me Know :P ? It would never work but its one of my favorites.

I loved This Can't Be Love as well  Not too long ago i shamefully gave the album its first proper listen, and it's f***ing stunning. Barely a 'good' track on it, never mind a bad track. It's a brilliant album. As you can see my new found love for the album has inspired me to send the amazing Turn The Lights On to BJSC

I think what you must mean is that you just don't like the album which isn't the same thing. Erm, no. There isn't any other single worthy songs on the album in myyyy view, it's not that I don't like them because I do. Almost bought the album yesterday.
March 26, 201015 yr Almost isn't good enough tbh Simon -_- (I bought it yesterday ) I wish the pics inside the booklet were bigger! I was looking forward to seeing them. :(
