February 6, 201015 yr OMG COLDPLAY ARE IN THE TOP 6. THANK YOU BUZZJACK. Surprised AYN is so low as well
February 6, 201015 yr I may be in the minority here- but I HATE bleeding love :puke: Never loved her music- Although Run is by far her best
February 6, 201015 yr Greatly underserved to be 7. Agreed, it should have been served a lot more. It's pretty hungry.
February 6, 201015 yr 2 more fantastic pop record there. About You Now really did save the Sugababes at the time, they need something like that again tbh. Bleeding Love will always be a classic really.
February 6, 201015 yr hahaha spelling gr I'm hungry right now...maybe its a reflection of my condition
February 6, 201015 yr Sugababes can only reach number 7 in the end, despite all their entries making the top 40 Coldplay top 6!
February 6, 201015 yr Author 06 Robyn ft Kleerup 'With Every Heartbeat' - 868 points (31 voters, 2nd in Heat 1) 3vfLvZCdT9g UK Chart Run: 5-{1}-2-3-4-7-8-11-19-24-30-38-45-51-47-60-59-68R(5)-46-49-39-39-40-51-66->25 As Gooddelta mentioned earlier in the thread, this is certainly one of the more surprising number one singles of the previous decade. In the UK she was one hit wonder from 1998 and this was released when US Hip-Hop and R&B were dominating the UK charts, in 24 weeks on only two of them did a number one not meet that criteria, and one of those was the infamous 1-20-39-OUT chart run for McFly. It hardly had the ingredients of a big hit. But it's just fabulous, it sounded like nothing else at the time, the production was brillaint, her voice is fantastic and the string section is just beautiful. It is by far my favourite UK number one of all time and I'm delighted it's so high, I imagine it ranks in a similar position for other voters too. Despite getting at least 5 fewer voters than all of the other songs in the top 7, this was ranked at number one more times than any other song (6 times) and was ranked in the top 3 more times than any other (12 times).
February 6, 201015 yr I'm surprised Robyn isn't top 5. But THAT SONG that is top 5 somehow (Viva La Vida   ) is much much better, so I don't mind. I do like WEH though ^_^ Edited February 6, 201015 yr by BrayFish
February 6, 201015 yr I am so please Robyn is so high! Easily one of my favourite #1s ever too and it still sounds fresh and different now.
February 6, 201015 yr ERGH! How Coldplay have managed to get so high i'll never know :puke: It's a great song? :P
February 6, 201015 yr Better songs have finished below it  It is actually my fave song of the 00s so as you can imagine I am pleased it is so high!
February 6, 201015 yr ERGH! How Coldplay have managed to get so high i'll never know :puke: Maybe because it is by a very very long way the best #1 of the decade, if not of all time? Actually, scratch 'all time'. The top 2 there are Breathe and Firestarter. But it's a very strong contender for the 3rd best #1 of all time. Edited February 6, 201015 yr by BrayFish
February 6, 201015 yr Author 05 Lady GaGa 'Bad Romance' - 900 points (36 voters, 2nd in Heat 2) qrO4YZeyl0I UK Chart Run: 14-10-11-8-5-3-{1}-3-3-1-4-7-9-12->14 Don't worry everyone, she doesn't take up both of the top two positions! She was always going to do very well with both this and 'Poker Face' though, when James did a favourite number one of 2009 voting thread she blocked out the entire top 3 and this was the song that had won. It doesn't manage to match 'Poker Face' here though, but gets a very respectable top 5 finish. You often wonder in polls like this how much of the voting is biased towards recent songs, but you get the feeling with GaGa that she'd be having this type of finish for a long time yet.
February 6, 201015 yr It is actually my fave song of the 00s so as you can imagine I am pleased it is so high!Yeah I know you're pleased :heehee: Didn't spend at least 1 week at every position in your chart? :heehee: Nah. It's not the worst Coldplay song by any means. I personally can't see the appeal with it/them  As I'm sure you'd probably think the same to me with probably a Britney song or something :heehee: Ah well. Loving the countdown so far! And at least there is one worse song than 'Viva La Vida' still to come ('Can't Get You Out Of My Head' :puke: :puke:)
February 6, 201015 yr This is one hell of a great countdown. The annual Record of The Decade Game (coming back in a matter of days  ) will have its work cut out to come up with such an impressive countdown and Top 10.
February 6, 201015 yr Omg, this can't be real. Coldplay? Top 4? On BuzzJack? In a feature called 'Favourite #1 of the DECADE'? OMG. Edited February 6, 201015 yr by BrayFish
