BARNSEY! Now we just need the Ghost of Mr C to crossover and we're SORTED.

Tonight's was pretty good, but not a patch on the previous nights. Still some dodgy acting - with less Ken Barlow tonight, it was down to Dev and Gail to disgrace themselves tonight. I did like the small touches like Eileen giving Jason a good whack around the head, Eddie's hand trembling as he tried to down a brandy at the bar, and Claire sitting in obvious shock trying to convince herself that Ashley would be fine was proper heartstring-tugging. I'm hoping for some good stuff from her tomorrow.

Oh, and with Sunita and Peter having been rescued now, it's not looking like good news for Rita is it? :( When you're chances of rescue are dependent on Norris and Emily using their brains, you're surely f***ED.

Just watched the repeat on ITV2 :) Looks like Rita's surely gonna die :( Poor Barnesy must be fed up of fires - Amy nearly died in one in Hollyoaks last month! :D Can't wait for tommorow, I'm thinking this live ep will beat EE's (although I'm a much bigger fan of EE)! But I doubt any of the deaths will be as good as Steph's death in the Hollyoaks fire (she died saving Amy :() I wonder if anyone in Corrie will die in a similair way to poor Steph? But then again, she chose to die cos of her cancer. But it still may happen in the live ep, minus the choosing to die.

The live episode and this weeks episodes need to do well ratings wise, im sure corrie stands a good chance of beating the ratings for eastenders live but with over 5 million spent on the episodes it would want to as its been giving 5 times more budget wise than eastenders live.

Ya its not looking good for Rita and as usual Dev was doing his $h!t acting, im glad other people especially real corrie fans (which im not) have seen that ken isnt a great actor, Bill roache who plays him to me comes accross very arrogant and thinks he is brilliant when his scenes this week clearly show he isnt, and his recent statemnt saying corrie is better now than it ever has been in its 50 years is complete non sense, the episodes this week are fantastic but outside of that corrie certainly has seen far better days.

Im intrigued to find out who else dies this week although personaly i would have loved it to have been Dev. I really cant see Rita dying but i could be completly wrong so im guessing the remaiing 2 who die are Molly and possibly Sunita, as we know ashley is the first vivtim, its between them and rita really unless something else is gona blow up killing someone who has already survived.

I have a feeling that Ashley isn't dead yet - but will possibly die tonight. Him coughing up blood shows that he has internal bleeding, so thats probably why he decided to hold up the rubble for Nick and Peter to escape, he knew he doesn't have long left. And Ashley leaving an answerphone message to Claire was heartbreaking - you know we'll be hearing it next week when Claire charges up her phone.

Ken is the worst actor they have - I swear they only keep him because he has been in it for so long - Your son is in a burning building, your grandson is in a burning building, why did he come across as not really that bothered? And I'm surprised he didn't at least attempt to try and remove rubble - I know he's in his 70's, but come on, if you have family in danger, isn't it instinct to run and help them? Especially stereotypically for a man. He could have been held back by Deirdre and at least it would have made his scene more realistic.

I think the deaths are Molly, Peter, Ashley and Rita... I can't see how Ashley could've survived what happened last night!

To be fair, that is exactly what happened though. I think it was Tuesday - he tried to rush forward to help David and Lloyd remove rubble, but Deirdre grabbed him and persuaded him not to get in the way.

The acting really is appalling though. I think the lowest point was "It's so FRUSTRATING not being able to do anything", spoken as if he was looking for some lost car keys, not watching a son being crushed to death by a tram

But he's been far from the only culprit. Although some of the cast are going all out, some seem to be have gone to $h!t, perhaps believing the drama and explosions would overshadow them and they could get away with it. I've already mentioned Dev and Gail - either Dev's actually deliberately portraying that his character is still a little drunk from the stag night, in which case he's actually doing wonderfully, or alternatively he's just $h!t. And the exchange between Gail and New Rubbish Doctor was just laughably bad. They seemed to believe they were taking part in a sub-standard superhero movie. "You have the power... you have....FIRST AID :o "

Do all Dr's receptionists have First Aid training? Don't think they do.

Speaking of OTT acting I thought Leanne was wonderful last night - literally hopping up and down! By contrast Carla was collected as anything. From the little I've seen she's a properly great character.

THe doctor was very wooden, but tonight is when we will see who shines and who doesnt in the live episode. The last live episode of corrie was played very very safe where gpoing by rumours the live episode tonight isnt so its gona be a real test to those who have the central roles.

I don't know why everyone goes on about Ken Roache being a bad actor ... he himself knows he's not a very good one! I think he has said on a few occasions that if it wasn't for Corrie he wouldn't get a job anywhere else. I can't stand the bloke but I do admire him for realising his limitations. I find it odd that his son Linus is an absolutely fabulous actor ... obviously acting skills must skip a generation there!

I love the way Corrie is handling Gary's behaviour in all of the chaos - very believable ... but Mikey North is a good actor.

Poor Rita ... the only one who knows that she actually DIDN'T go into town and was going back to her flat is Nick! And he obviously has other things on his mind right now!

Graeme Hawley (John Stape) is going to be the actor who has his work cut out for him tonight. He has to get from one set to another in record time without appearing out of breath. Although the locations on screen are just a short walk ... on the Granada set ... they are actually quite some distance apart. I like the guy but again ... he is one of Corrie's weaker actors ... not quite as bad as Roache ... but getting there.

The scenes I'm most looking forward to are Sally Dynevor's and Mikey North's.

I agree with whoever suggested Kieran could die - why show HIM in particular, with the doctor last night - he was so sure he was okay, that perhaps he could die - internally, rather than in the fire?

who is kieran btw? i've not watched it in ages up until last week so i'm still getting used to most characters..

loving this tram crash though. really looking forward to tonights episode and i hope we find out more about rita :(

Him.

Aww Claire, I feel bad for her. :( I've always had a soft spot for Claire.

Darn somebody look for Rita! :manson:

Sally appears to care more about her hair than her safety, I assume that is why she isn't wearing any sort of protective gear at ALL.

The Sally thing is ridiculous - I can't imagine they'd really let her in, in the first place - but without ANY protective gear on? Nah - but GREAT so far!

loving this so far. it's actually like a normal episode rather than a live one i can't even tell the difference unlike the eastenders one when i was on edge all the way through waiting for someone to slip up or something but i feel i can just enjoy this like a normal episode.

and yeah that sally thing is stupid

I'm not sure if i actually saw it, i had just looked away, but i'm sure i saw the girl in the wheelchair standing up
