Unless they mirror Spirit by giving up after two singles and re-packaging the album with new material for later on in the year, which I can see happening especially the way things are going now. :(

I think people are not really giving it a chance, branding it a flop before its release week doesnt make sense really..

We will see it climb the itunes chart rapidly this week i think with impact of video being actually played. :)

i think it comes down to that really, its a pretty poor song singing about a telephone :S just not very good compared to their singles individually.

It's been selling consistently for ages now, although I'm not sure of it's sales it would probably equal a newish high charting single surely.

And given the fact the Album has sold a bucket load/no video yet.

It would only be funny if the song/performer didn't deserve a top 40 placing - like Chris Brown.

I agree what he did was wrong.. but Crawl is an amazing song so I really think it deserves to do well despite everything that happened

I am not a Bey or Gaga loon, but no one write off 'Telephone'. Both artists produce consistently exceptional videos, which have always proven to boost their songs to an extent with is not seen with other acts. The song will infect and dominate both airplay charts in a few weeks, and the song will reap the rewards.

Also, The Courteeners up to #64, they're doing better than I expected so far, might go top 40 or might do an Erik Hassle and just stall.
