It's at #77, but only counts for a few hundered sales I think. But still combined with the #8 single, and Owl City and Timbaland falling, they could make #6 quite soon.

Definatly wasnt expecting Ellie to do this well. Shame though that Starry Eyed is performing much better than the much superier (imo) Hollywood.

Shame Ellie looks like she's actually going to get a Top 10 hit with this :( 'Starry Eyed' is so weak imo and without being number 1 on the polls and stuff at the start of the year, it would have bombed! It'll be interesting to see if she can really live up to the hype with the album and continue getting success. I wish her the best of luck though as we all know it has been hard for truly hyped artists to get any success right away (other than GaGa :P).

 

Also same can be said for Sugas really :( 'Wear My Kiss' is average at best to me :drama: They should release 'Wait For You' next or 'Crash & Burn' if they want a ballad :wub:

I don't think Starry Eyed would have bombed. It's a good pop song, and Polydor have put a lot of effort behind her marketing and they know what they're doing with her. I really don't get the Marina hype at all, but that's mainly because I just cannot stand her voice. She's quite quirky and different - I remember when the song came on the radio all my friends were wanting me to turn the radio off because they hated it. I think her style is a very accuired taste, I don't think she's the sort of artist that is going to sell bucketloads. Ellie is more of your average, run of the mill popstar who does.

Really want Jason Derulo to get a number 1 too.. Didn't expect him to come back with a 2nd song as good as his first.. so glad to see hes not a 1 hit wonder :)
