It'd be good to see the sales as I know Sugas are 10 copies behind Timbaland and shouldn't be too far from Alicia.

erm the video probably costed next to nothing so the sales will definitely cover the video (especially its at #14 atm). Also we dont know how long IGY will stay in charts, its doing alot better then we all expected it to this time last week so its actually looking good. Also echo is up 5 places yesterday so we should see it in top 40 next week with e4music interview coming up this sunday.

I agree. Although I wouldn't class ALL urban albums don't sell well. Urban artists need at least 3 albums (their 3rd being their biggest album) to make a name for themselves and have proper success it seems. (Rihanna and Ne-Yo's 3rd albums have been their personal best selling albums, also Chris Brown's follow-ups did better than his debut) But I'm hoping Jason DeRulo will change that. I agree. Although I wouldn't class ALL urban albums don't sell well. British urban artists seem to do best with their first albums (Dizzee being a major exception, as it was his 4th that has been the biggest)

LL1, Leona is not a bitch and comes across as gracious and kind you just give her a bad name and bring nothing but hate on her, maybe try and watch what you say.If I Got You does not have a good position on Sunday you will just bring even more hate on her and yourself.Its not worth bring a general irritant you should be trying to encourage people to download the song.

Although the video wouldn't have costed as much as BEP and GaGa's latest videos it certainly wouldn't have cost next to nothing, especially with all the different actors for all the different scenes (which would mean more people working background) and the director of the video would have been hired a lot longer than other videos.

 

Why bring up Will Young? Just because he is in the persons sig :rolleyes: and if you are going to compare them at least use both second albums.

videos are expensive whatever. you have studio cost, director costs, all the behind the scenes costs (down to make up artists and costume/set expense), then it has to be edited ect.

 

im pretty sure in the days of the 79 - 99p download very few singles make money, let alone one that looks like peaking outside the top 10. this is a cheap video
