Massive flop for Boyzone whichever way you look at it :( lead single from their first album in 12 years and a hugely emotional song and video...

 

I still think the album will be big though no matter how this single does, not least because it's being released right on mothers day just like the Ronan album last year that got to #1

Not much between Jason and Rihanna! Fair bit between between Wiley and Owl City tho...

Its impossible to compete with the other songs if you don't get any airplay, its not a level playing field. In Ireland their airplay has been much, much better and they are out selling everyone.

Compared to the other 3 new releases zooming up the chart, Boyzone's performance is a little underwhelming, then again, Jason Derulo was slow to take off, and look where he ended up :lol:

Its always being played across the music channels though...and they've promoted it, and themselevs quite a bit

In 15 minutes the popbars for Gramophonedzie haven't changed at all. Wiley has added one bar, Tinie about 3.

Don't worry I wasn't insulting them, they're actually one of my favourite bands :lol:

 

But generally if a song is at #36 at 9pm on a Sunday night, it's probably not likely to go much higher than low top ten in the charts at best, particularly when all of the other new releases have zoomed up. And I said that I still think the album will be huge regardless! In the cirumstance of it probably being their most anticipated single release since When The Going Gets Tough, I was hoping for a top 3 hit at least.
