Her not being on the Radio 1 playlist will effect her from next week (Monday I think). So she's still classed as being on C-List until Monday :P

The weekend effect won't really kick in until tomorrow. I wish it wasn't going to take place, though!

If she had been Radio 1 A-List, it wouldn't have made a huge difference because the bulk Radio 1 listeners aren't really the type who buy 'I Got You'. Those who are will probably be aware of it anyway. The BBC stations are only vital if an act doesn't have commercial support. I think Top 20 is great for Leona, and hopefully the album will get a boost in the coming weeks.

Cheryl is now #1 on Amazon :D I think that it's going to be quite a big hit, considering it's not on the A-list yet, and wasn't even in the Top 50 airplay last week at all. Jonathan Ross will also be great promotion, I can imagine it being one of the most watched shows of the series if BBC promote it as her "exclusive" "first interview" "since the split"

Songs start falling Friday afternoon in the weekend effect. (Hence why Chiddy Bang has been sliding for most of today)

 

Cheryl (as well as Rihanna) should benefit more from the Weekend effect now.

It seems Chiddy Bang is the first song to fall out of top10. Owl might be the second and Sugas/Timbo the third. But I hope Sugas will stay top10 for the second week, they aren't sliding as much as I expected, they are pretty strong at the mo.

To be honest, the top10 now is very strong, far more strong than usually, I can't see many new entries in the top10 next week. Boyzone? Maybe. Daisy? Almost surely. Gramophonedzie, Wiley and Tinie Tempah are

You are right, people do not think like that. However, it is a more than well known fact that, on the whole, the more column inches you get, the more records you sell. Most articles about singers (of whatever nature) include a few filler lines about their latest promotion for their new single or album. What has happened to Cheryl is a terrible shame, but it couldn't really have come at a better time.
