*Update With Sugababes - Sweet 7. :)

Edited by animal

Edited version:

1. Diana Vickers - Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree - Wow! Words cannot desribe how much I love this stunning album  Diana is the most unique talent to emerge from X Factor, but she is very versatile, as this album proves. The great thing is, the tempo is balanced, half upbeat, half slow. A great feel-good pop album, and also a touching life reflection all at the same time. It's clear Diana has a huge career ahead, at least another number 1 I can see. Highlights are N.U.M.B., Boy Who Murdered Love, My Hip and Once.

2. Selena Gomez & The Scene - Kiss & Tell - I've had it since since it's US release, and I still love it. A great pop-rock fun album, with a couple of downtempo songs thrown in too, cementing Selena as the best Disney girl musically (she's my fave acting wise too, I love WOWP ) in my opinion. Highlights are Kiss And Tell, I Won't Apologize, Falling Down, Naturally and I Got U.

3. Marina & The Diamonds - Family Jewels - It's so different! Quirky pop tunes make this a must have for pop fans. She's thrown off the Florence comparisons she had early on with 80's sounding synth hits like Shampain and the poppy rockiness of Are You Satisified. The last 3 tracks let the album a bit though... Highlights are Shampain, Obsessions, Hollywood and Oh No.

4. Ellie Goulding - Lights - Again, a bit different to others. 'Electro-Folk' some call it  I'd say she's just her own unique brand of pop. The lyrics are sometimes a bit lazy, but the songs don't dissapoint. Mostly up-tempo, Lights certainly lives up to the hype since Under The Sheets and does not dissapoint. Highlights are Guns And Horses, Starry Eyed, This Love and The Writer.

5. Glee: The Music, Volume 3 - Showstoppers - Only leaked this morning, and already earns 8th place here. An improvement on the first two (Volume 2 of which just falls short of top 10) with amazing covers of classic hits. With guest stars Kristin Chenoweth, Jonathon Groff, Neil Patrick Harris and even Olivia Newton-John, this is a must have. Highlights are: Beautiful, Rose's Turn, Bad Romance and I Dreamed A Dream.

6. Ke$ha - Animal - Another highly anticipated release. I was a bit wary of this from just Tik Tok, but I'm so glad I took the plunge and bought. The up and down tempo songs are nicely balanced, although all the best songs (aside from the album's best, the stunning Blind) are up-tempo. The awful single choice of Blah Blah may have put a lot of people off, but not me! Highlights are Tik Tok, Your Love Is My Drug, Blind and Take It Off.

7. Miranda Cosgrove - Sparks Fly - A surprise for me tbh. I hate her show ICarly and she's just about the worst actress ever imo but luckily her musical talent is far greater. As always with Disney/Nickelodeon stars this is cookie-cutter pop but don't be put off. She proves versatilty in uptempo pop tracks like BAM, Disgusting (written by Ke$ha) and Daydream (written by Avril Lavinge), as well as ballads like Hey You. Highlights are: Kissin' U, BAM, Disgusting and There Will Be Tears.

8. Kelis - FleshTone - A brilliant dance album now, bit of a change! I've never been a huge fan of Kelis but checked this out on the basis of Acapella. The amazing production and thumping beats accompany Kelis' trademark vocals brilliantly, and it has to be on loud  It's a tad short though, only 8 tracks (plus an intro) Highlights are: Acapella, Home, 4th Of July and Brave.

9. Glee Cast: The Music, Power Of Madonna - An EP dedicated to the Queen Of Pop. The episode was amazing, and the music is too. Covers of Madge hits old and new by all the cast (Emma sings :o) and guests. Highlights are: Like A Virgin, Like A Prayer, Vogue and 4 Minutes.

10. Glee: The Music, Volume 1 - The last of the Glee invasion  with the album that first attracted us and made us Gleeks obsessed. The opening, Don't Stop Believin', is still by far their biggest hit and the songs that follow don't dissapoint either. An array of covers from all artists from Jasmine Sullivan to Heart to Rihanna to Liza Minelli. The cast all have great voices too. Highlights are: Don't Stop Believin', Defying Gravity, Bust Your Windows and Alone.

These are probably my top 3, in no particular order:

Amy MacDonald - A Curious Thing

Beach House - Teen Dream

Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me

2010 Albums:

Vampire Weekend: Contra - 8/10 (Not a bad track on the album, some very good festival tunes!)

Marina & The Diamonds - 9.5/10 (A Highlight of the first quarter, sensational talent! Oh No!, Girls, Are You Satisfied? and Numb are perfect)

Ellie Goulding - 10/10 (Definitely lived up to the hype, sensational debut! The Writer, my most favourite track!)

MGMT - Congratulations - 4/10 (Huge disappointment, I know it's not meant to be anything like Oracular Spectacular, but it's not at all memorable, the only half decent track is 'I Found A Whistle'

Alphabeat - The Beat Is... - 6/10 (Good, some high points 'Hole In My Heart' & 'Always Up With You', but I can't listen to it without comparing to This Is Alphabeat which was stunning!

Delphic - Acolyte - 7/10 - (Really like this band but I find myself not wanting to actually put the album on but will happily listen on shuffle! Halcyon, Red Lights and Doubt are highlights)

Diana Vickers - Album Taster - 10/10 (Maybe a little cheat as it's not a complete album, but these 5 songs are absolutley stunning, had them on repeat constantly! Can't wait for 3rd May to hear the full album!)

Goldfrapp - Head First - 3/10 (The first 3 tracks are good and then it goes downhill, and fast!)

Owl City - Ocean Eyes - 0/10 (Oh dear me, after hearing Fireflies incessantly for the past few months, I started to convince myself that I actually liked it, so stupidly I bought the album! It's just dull song after dull song, as though simply changing words over the same monotonous melody. HATE!)

Updated my list with Gabriella Cilmi - Ten & Kids In Glass Houses - Dirt. :)
my top 5 has been updated. :)

01. Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me

Not as instantly loveable as her 2nd album, but the third disc is just to die for

02. Flor-de-lis - Signo Solar

Amazing album full of folky tunes and more accordion solos than you could ever need.

03. Laura Marling - I Speak Because I Can

A bit of a step down from her previous album, but still a good effort nonetheless.

04. Amy MacDonald - A Curious Thing

Nice album but it doesn't seem as 'her' as This Is The Life did.

The Very Best - Warm Heart Of Africa (2009) - 5.5/10

Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me (2010) - 4/10 - However, i could find half an hour from it that'd be 10/10

Gwen Stefani - L.A.M.B. (2004) - 8/10 - I forgot about how good this was, downloaded it after not hearing for about 5 years.

Wild Beasts - Limbo Panto (2008) - 6/10
