 On A Mission is #7 in the middweeks for gods sakes! What more proof do they need that they need to playlist it!

Well, not that I particulary like Radio 1, but everyone keeps having a go at them every single week. You say they should add it now cause Gabriella is doing well on Itunes, but when they actually do add popular songs, people go like "boo they're just jumping on the bandwagon, they're sheeps etc etc".

Gabriella is already A-listed on Radio 2 and her album is album of the week over there too, so it's not like the BBC isn't supporting her at all.

And for people having a go at Radio 1 every single week, please go on Popjustice and read today's article about Radio 1. It's cool to slag this station off but it's not that awful when you look a bit more into it.

There is that but the number of top 10 hits in the past year that havent recieved Radio 1 support can probably be counted on one hand. Gabriella is likely to land in the 7-9 region on Sunday.

When other songs like Esmee Denters - Outta Here recieved no Radio 1 support but still managed to become suprise hits, they were added to the playlist automatically the next playlist update which makes the Cilmi snub odd.

Cilmi would fit in on the Radio 1 playlist which is something other Radio 2 only artists such as Beverley Knight and Corinne Bailey Rae probably couldnt.

^Posted this before I saw Bertie's post btw. I've never slagged Radio 1 off FYI. I listen to the station everyday, I just think they need a major re-think with the way they work out their playlist.

Is anyone else surprised that they havent playlisted cascada? i know some on here may diss it but it just screams hit to me, and considering they playlisted all their last album im just very surprised.

Paramore up to B :D Plus Chipmunk, Diana & Kate Nash all added

Great week for the play-list. Not too bothered that "On A Mission" still isn't there - it's seems to be doing well enough without them anyway

Darwin Deez AND The XX playlisted this week? Looks like the BBC's trying to muso up Radio 1 so it can justify closing 6music (or am I just being cynical?)

R1 supported Islands and VCR as well - both made the INMWT list I believe.

Darwin Deez's song could be huge, I applaud Radio 1 for supporting it.

Yes LostProphets  :cheer:

Good but it'll flop, only "Streets of Nowhere" could have saved this era :(

I dont get r1 sometimes, why do they ignore some baltently good and popular songs?

Kind of expected sugababes to be out this week but a shame seeing as the album is released next week :/

They add songs on average about 3 weeks before release, does this even have a release date?

Arggghhh They just HAVE to playlist Cascada! :(

Glad Diana has been added though and the video is amaazingg

Well apparently it has been mentioned 5th April, but their official site still doesnt mention the UK release date (only german) which is a little odd so i guess in theory it could have been postponed by a week or too. Would be weird for them to ignore it but it wont be the first song they've ignored.

That Chipmunk song is gonna be big as will Kate Nash. Looks like Diana could be getting herself a big hit as well.

I'll lose all faith in the UK buying public if they actually buy into that vile Diana Vickers song and make it #01. :|

Yay for Kate Nash though <3.

YES! YES! YES! for Kate, Diana and Chipmunk with Esmee! FANTASTIC songs.

Hopefully Cascada are playlisted either next week or the week after. Scheduled release date, iirc, is 5th April...

Guys, R1 adding songs on the week of their release is a rare ocurrence, not the norm. They've snubbed much bigger hits than "On A Mission" too, "Breathe" and "Hips Don't Lie" come to mind.

Breathe?

By The Prodigy?

After Radio1 forgot to playlist Hips Dont Lie and Fergies Big Girls Dont Cry they went downhill!
Glad to see Inna on the A-list . Hopefully the song will be massive . it grows on me each time hear it . Maybe even a UK album release though the way AATW handled Agnes was quite disappointing
