Enters at #3 today. Not looking good seeing as Mumford & Sons were only selling 42k last week, and will have fallen more this week nearer the 30k mark, and Leona is still behind that. I hope this can get at least 100k by Christmas.

Such a shame; after a few listens the album's my favourite of her three! The most depressing thing isn't even the peak or that it was beaten by a 4-week old album - it's that its sales will be so much lower than the opening of her previous albums :(

It is pretty bad, after Echo and Spirit sold so well! I guess the album didn't have a strong single like Bleeding Love or (to a lesser extent) Happy to sell it but still... And it is a real shame, it's no Echo but I definitely prefer it to Spirit and it's a great album that deserves MUCH more. At least it's not doing as badly as Heartbreak On Hold anyway :lol:

 

Absolutely LOVE the title track especially :wub: One of her best tracks ever to be honest, nothing will ever beat Run which is in my top 20 of all time but it's amazing especially on loud! Really should've been the lead single, would've been massive - I hope they release it now anyway because they'd be fools to skip it.

I think at best her sales will be 25,000 which is a big drop from her previous opening weeks. I have heard some of the songs from glassheart and they are not connecting with me at all, and i hate trouble so i didnt buy the album. From what i have heard so far the album isnt one i think i will buy, i loved spirit and would have loved something in sound with that. While i dont like this era of hers i hope it does well for her as i do like her, next week will tell how this album will go, if she has a huge drop the album is dooomed, so hopefully she will remain steady enough in the top 10 next week.

Spirit was a terrible album, totally filled to the brim with fillers aside from the singles, 'Whatever It Takes' and maybe one or two others. Echo was a big improvement, this isn't as good but still trumps Spirit with considerable ease.

 

Anyway, this is definitely a really bad result for her and it won't have done 30k.

With 'Fireflies' being the next single it seems, I would hope she will be on the X Factor final! Maybe she will be on Children In Need next month too.

Is it me or does 'Sugar' sound slightly Rolling Stones-esque? It reminds me of a mix between 'Paint It Black' and 'Brown Sugar'.

What the hell are doing, they're still sitting on Glassheart :mellow: Frankly should've been the lead single. Fireflies isn't a bad song but it's really not a good single choice imo...

I'm hoping it'll shock us. It is a beautiful song and will sound amazing live.

Come Alive and Glassheart could be such amazing singles though, and even Shake You Up but thats more summer-vibe.

 

If I was to release a ballad from this album it would have been I To You then When it Hurts.

The No 8 album over the course of these last few weeks has been selling around the 11-12k mark per week. There may be a slight increase as we approach November but nothing major. :(

She's performing at a Radio 2 event thing this Sunday. Can't remember its name though. Hopefully she'll sing "Fireflies"! She also remains at #8 in today's midweeks as well.

#7 in today's midweeks, this might not be such a disaster after all?

With the release date for 'Fireflies' now set for end of Nov, I believe another XF performance is right around the corner for her. 'Fireflies', although I don't think it'll be a hit (as much as I love it myself) is definitely an album seller... so hopefully it'll help the album out (providing she does get the slot obviously).

 

'Un Love Me' is so damn good. It's properly connecting with me recently. This album, although the filler is weaker than the filler on 'Echo' & majority of 'Spirit', I'm finding the highlights to be so, so good and just as good as some of the highlights from her first two albums.

Ok so #10 this week. So glad it stayed top 10! Hope doesnt fall too much next week.

37,730 sales :( this album should have double that, its such an amazing album!

I did think it would have left the top 10 on week 2 so in light of that point it did better than i expected. There are alot of new releases this week so Leona could fall hard, if she doesnt it may suggest the album will hold up reasonably well in the short term at the least.
