March 29, 201015 yr I've come around to thinking that Nonsuch actually might not win this now...I've seen a lot of 'overhyped' type comments, I reckon it will be getting more 4's and 5's than 10's and 12's. Still an easy top 5 but I'm thinking Hendinia vs. Botanikka for the win (would love to see one of these two countries finally host by the way!) Kopecka/Nonsuch 3rd/4th and Torchwood 5th. Poor Rich always seems to get the backlash for his 'cheaper' entries like Never Leave You and Fembots whilst others romp to victory with far cheaper (although probably better) songs.

I absolutely loved it on first listen, thought it was amazing, but maybe that's just a knee jerk reaction to any new Robyn material I hear :kink: But it doesn't wear quite as well although I still really like it, the chorus at least. I was being a bit hasty putting it as a favourite before I'd even listened to the song, you can't win BJSC on name alone after all. Robyn never fails though (well not usually :o)

I know it's not cheap (as Rob and the rest of us had no idea that it was about to blow up suddenly) but it's on rotation on Radio 1, I saw the video about 5 times just whilst eating my lunch earlier :lol: It's a catchy pop song with a strong chorus with mass appeal. It's going to be #1 before the month's out probably despite suddenly coming out of nowhere. Winner written all over it in my opinion.

SORRY. :( I did not know it was going to be cheap. :snif: Rich can back me up, that I only sent the song through the 'What Song Is This?' thread after I heard it once on The Hits (yeah, sure, commercial radio, but it sounded like an older), so it wasn't intentionally cheap at all. It literally appeared on The Box a day after I confirmed it, and on Radio 1 Playlist, two days after. I didn't know it was suddenly going to blow up. As I see it, I very much doubt it's going to win, songs that have 50% rap in it don't win this contest, do they? :lol: Just need to listen to 2 songs once more through, and sort out ordering. kk?
March 29, 201015 yr I guess it does have melodic similarities to Heaven - although that being one of my five best songs of all time (I know I seem to say that to everything but honestly - Set You Free, Better Off Alone, Hips Don't Lie, Believe Again, Heaven are only when I'm telling the truth :heehee:) I don't put it on quite such a lofty scale in my estimations! Do was perfection, she had such a gorgeous tone to her voice, particularly on her solo album :wub: Jodie Connor could be anyone really. I like Wiley's rap though I have to say!

Consider yourself backed up! You can check through the reservation thread, I even reserved it at one point once I found out what it was. I dropped it but only because I didn't like it quite enough to send myself, not because I thought it was cheap, because this time last week it really wasn't :lol: two weeks ago I'd never even heard of it before! I'm quite glad I didn't end up sending it, I think I'd be defending my choice quite heavily right now if I had, but indeed, I can vouch for you that this was in no way uninspired.
