I was hoping it'd be much higher too! :(

With their last album it seemed like they were getting mainstream success and I was hoping that would continue with this album...looks unlikely though.

I guess it's mainly due to the lack of playlisting by Radio 1.

25. I'd Rather Be With You (Radio Edit) - Joshua Radin

129. Do-Wah-Doo - Kate Nash

246. OMG - Sabrina Washington

Jeez!!! :manson:

Seeing Joshua Radin so high up already is woeful. :( I really don't know what's so appealing about the track. It's just depressingly dull. At least 'I'm Yours' was relatively chirpy in comparison.

Another week, another bizzare UK hit. I echo all those who would've expected Kate Nash to have been much higher up by now.

I really don't know where Josh Radin sprang from, the track flew over my head, its one of those tracks that you never expect to chart. The Singles Chart is so bizarre at the moment, it seems the British public have gone doolally over him.
radin is top 10 on airplay with support from radio 1 and 2 a month before release, perhaps this explains its early high placing?
I'm tempted to start a campaign to get Lisa Scott-Lee's Electric top ten so she can restart her failed music career :heehee: Seeing as she quit the music industry as promised when it missed the top ten by a whisker.

Didn't she actually release a follow-up single to Electric (despite claiming she'd quit when it didn't go top 10?!? :heehee:)?

Also just a big thumbs up to yesterday's conversations that the Spice Girls top single was Stop (although Say You'll Be There definitely rivals it!!) and that's LSL's 'Electric' was actually quite good :) She sounded ok on that charity single too :)

No? No idea what you're thinking of there. Unless you're thinking of when she released an album low key and download only later on.

Oops, I might be wrong then.

I thought she went back with another single after Electric? Or am I thinking that prior to Electric, she'd made the same claim, only to go on and release Electric?

But if she released an album low key/download later on, then surely that breaks her "promise" in any case?! ;)

Kate is now 21! :o

ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE THAT IS  Come on bitch get a move on!

I think Kate Nash will do an Alphabeat this week. Besides, the physical of the song comes out next week so there's still hope. :)

To be fair, it was basically an album of material she'd already recorded including all the previous singles. I think it was just randomly thrown out there for any fans she may or may not have.

Kate now #113. At least she's continuing to climb I guess. :(

Joshua Radin has hardly moved since he got to #25. He's #24 now.

On the scale I use for my YTD sales estimates, more like 400 - but that's obviously based on maintaining that position throught the week.

NB, I reckon that a #1000 on iTunes will sell 325-350/wk on average.

I wonder if like most music fans Kate Nash is performing poorly at the moment due to most people not expecting it to be released until next week.

I know I certainly was not (re: My Weekly Prediction Game I run. :arrr: ).

Still at least I called the Joshua Radin (this year's out of nowhere potential You're Beautiful; I'm Yours or Bad Day) as a biggish hit correctly.

Joshua Radin :right::left: at #24

Kate Nash  to #112

Sabrina Washington  to #229

I'm not sure why people expected Nash to have a hit? It's pretty bad imo though I'd rather see it higher than Radin.
