This Kate Nash flop is rather unexpected - personally much prefer Do Wah Doo to her previous material. I did think people might be overestimating the sucsess by saying it was a potential #1 but I definatly thought it had the making of a decent top 15 hit at least.

 

Sabrina of course is no suprise. Fantastic song from a great vocalist but it was always going to go nowhere.

I'm not suprised it not doing as well but im suprised it hasnt hit the top 40 yet :huh: It's good but nowhere near as annoyingly catchy or original as the old stuff was

 

:( for Sabz but like Aled said it was never going to do anything still i'll be buying it :thumbup:

Tbh, listening back, none of this week's releases are great. Sabrina's is the best new release but even that is a pretty poor.

 

Roll on next week and Christina's SMASH! :D Although, i'm still not sure if it's released next week. I'm sure it's only for the US - i kinda hope so tbh.

Maybe she can do a "The Script 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'" type of jump in the charts next week, 30-3 or something like that.

I am gutted for Kate Nash, I am still positive it has alot to do with being pushed back and the iTunes release date saying April 11th. Here's hoping for a meteoric rise as of now.. just got my copy.

Or it could do a 'Keeps Gettin' Better' (that was released a few weeks before planned release wasn't it?) Labels should know that songs don't do well off the back of just one premiere here in the UK. It's completely different to the US charts. Here; unless she has some crazy promo lined up (like GaGa had XFactor and stuff) then Christina is fucked if she thinks it's going to do that here. Over here she NEEDS to gain radio play/video play in order for it to be a hit. Not even Arctic Monkeys could get a hit after releasing their single soon after the premiere! -_- Christina isn't as big as she once was over here.

Sabrina is just average at best, same with Joshua, hopefully he won't knock Inna off the top10.

 

As for Kate Nash - it's nothing special too. I always considered her as a one hit wonder I must admit.

I don't know what the radio response is but it's not playlisted on R1 and there is no video so i think low top 40 and when/if R1 playlists it, it will climb to like #25 or something before the video drops. Once that has premiered, i think it'll do a Telephone but to a slower extent. Apparently the video is the HOTTEST since Dirrty! :dance: And to remind you, Can't Hold Us Down, CandyMan and Tell Me were all after it :kink:

Don't you worry it probably debut on B list or C list on the R1 playlist this week. Christina has a huge fanbase. I have hearing lots on the radio. I heard also on Fearne R1 show too.

 

Also if Usher can debut really high with his new one then X-TINA CAN TOO.
