You can send almost anything you want to either of them but UP is meant to have an alternative lean to it (hence being in the Indie forum). There'd be nothing technically stopping you sending an out-and-out pop song to UP (provided it's unknown enough) but don't expect it to go anywhere.

You can still register, yes (the BJSC World thread has basically been an unofficial official registration thread for a while) - unfortunately you just missed the last contest of the year and there won't be another one until January (I think) but you can sign up whenever you want!

I've had a quick glance at the first post but in short can someone please say briefly what you do in this game in a short paragraph thanks :)

Well you don't have to guess the song that David Cameron is thinking of, or the chart run of polka hits on Albania's Top 40 so you may not be interested.

BASICALLY hotchoc, you invent a fictional country and then send a song once a month, then vote for your favourites out of the songs other people have sent. The first post makes it sound more complicated than it is.

The song can't be a uk chart success (#1, top 10, top 15, top 20 etc) by the way. There's a full veto list in the pinned section which gives you the limitations of choosing the song

The next contest should be opening in January some time. The first post of the confirmations thread shoulod contain all the information you need.
