I think Beyonce is climbing solely because of Ego. If radio supports it and it continues to be played on the channels - Bey could go top 10 again, maybe ^_^

I Am...Sasha Fierce is such a wonderful immense album. Anyone who hasn't bought it yet - please buy it. The best album of 2008...BY FAR ^_^

I think Telephone is helping too tbh, but whatever it is, keep doing it! ^_^

Oh, and btw, this week was Single Ladies' 64th week in the Top 100, charting at #95 ^_^

I remember i used to get ridiculously competitive when Single Ladies was out. I really wanted If I Were A Boy to be the biggest success of the two - totally forgetting they were both by Bey :kink:

It's weird, If I Were a Boy has sold more than Single Ladies, despite being in the Top 100 for 30 less weeks

If I Were a Boy: 34 weeks

Single Ladies: 64 weeks

I hope The Saturdays can stay top 40, Ego is by far their best single, and its giving UP a good run for its money to remain their biggest selling single. Great to Cheryl re climbing with parachute, parachutte will easily outsell 3 words now.

Not totally weird considering most of If I Were A Boy's sales came during the Xmas 2008 period - she was on the XF final plus the actual release where sales were obviously gonna be high. It's also no secret that sales are huge in the fall so yeah it kinda exploded for a month or two with sales quickly drying up.

Single Ladies, on the other hand, peaked rather low but gained longevity basically. It charted from December 2008 and it's actual release was in February 2009 where single sales are obviously lower so that's most probably why the sales and weeks on chart aren't proportional.

Has IIWAB sold over 600k then? I think SL is on 400k or something.

It's close to 600k, I don't think it's oversold it

MW report added, but I can't make out the sales, from the report, albums wise.

Wish it was :( At least it's Bey's biggest-selling single in the UK ever! :D

Btw, i just realised I Am...Sasha Fierce was officially certified 4X Platinum in January :w00t: What's most spectacular is that when originally released, IASF only reached #10. :o Proof that with the right single releases, an underperforming album can be turned into a success. Only if Leona's management learnt that <_<

In hope that 'Telephone' might just go back to #1 this week, 1500 copies isn't that much
frustrating that the cave cant get any higher than 32,its been between 21-25 for over a week now.they should really release loads of versions to get higher in the charts, thats how other artists do it!!it was the same with winter winds in december,it verged on the top 20 on itunes and yet peaked at 44 on the chart - it deserved top 40,will be a christmas classic in years to come!!

I pray that Rihanna follows suit. :(

Hmm i wish i could say she could to Bey's extent but i don't think it'd happen :( I personally think I Am...Sasha Fierce is a 1000 times better than Rated R and more thought out. Rated R could achieve maybe 700k or something if a re-release is planned or Fire Bomb/Rockstar 101 was released.

I don't understand. Why is 'Ego' rising back up the charts? Did I miss something?! The Saturdays, not Beyonce, lol.

A mix of the Impulse advert, Frankie possibly being on The Door at the weekend, the lingering effect after the weekend-effect (possible :P) and being sung on Over The Rainbow at the weekend. Good promo without The Sats even singing it once

If "I'd Rather Be With You" could be the only new entry on Sunday, has there ever been a week without a single new entry - if so, when was it? And if there hasn't ever been a week with no new entries, when was the last time when we only had one new entry?

rated r never seems to be able to break into the top 10 on the back of her new singles in contrast to beyonce!!
