A whole year since the world met Susan Boyle :drama: BGT is back.

Now lets all prepare to hate Simon, cringe at Amanda and wish Louis Walsh had replaced Piers Morgan.*

Do people want to see more dance acts this year or has everyone had enough? Still can['t believe last years final had peak viewing figures over 19 million!

BGT returns on Saturday April 17th at 8pm.

*Joking :P

Really looking forward to this :) I liked Susan at her first audition, didn't want her to win the final, she somehow got to #1 on my personal chart with "Wild Horses" and now I don't like her.

And the best news is that the final should be at the beginning of June - the week after Eurovision. When the date of the ESC final was announced, I was worried that they'd clash :cheer:

Might actually be watching this. :o

I'm a teenie weenie wee bit gutted it's clashing with Over The Rainbow tbh :(

Have to stick to following it on iPlayer just.

As it's related to BGT. Did anyone hear about last year finalist. Hollie Steel who got sent horrific and dirty messages since BGT. :puke2:

Not sure I can be bothered to watch this year. It's the same every year, random classical singers and dance troups. :drama:
Didn't watch last year, not sure if i can be arsed this year. The first year did give us Escala tho

I'd love to see a really well polished Comedy Act do well or even win, we've had too many successful Dancers/Singers on BGT.

I want some more unusual acts to do well.....but I suppose Dancing/Singing will always get noticed more. :(

They still haven't found anyone great yet imo, but Ill still probs watch it, although 'Over The Rainbow' is my priority!
OMG if there are more dance acts/diversity wannabes than last year i will just not watch it.. there are so many more talents than dancing and we just had strickly ,dancing on ice and got to dance... :P

this doesn't clash with Dr Who does it?

if not, i'll be watching the drones of talentless weirdo's

what shows does this clash with

I think it's just the last half of Over The Rainbow. Don't think they'd take on Doctor Who.

I watched the Dorothy show for the first time last week and wasn't impressed, but this rarely impresses me either. Not sure which I'll watch, if any.

Last year was f***ing DIRE. All you seem to get is little girls who have the tiniest amount of talent but because they cry it's adorable, boring old classical opera singers and dance troups that can be somewhat impressive. Really can't be arsed watching and the results couldn't be any more predictable. Even worse than X Factor imo.

It's not like 'Opportunity Knocks' where you'd get a cross section of variety acts, it's largely amateur crap backed up by sob stories with very few unique skills on show.

That said, I did think the dance troupe who won last year were really good. Shown up massively by superior acts on the Royal Variety Performance admittedly - but nowhere near as much as that poor young sod did the year before.

"The Sun" reported earlier in the week that the dogs are supposed to be good this year

So I'll probably end up supporting a dog.

A dog actually won the latest german edition of this.
