Probably because the video hasn't been released yet. :P

I've heard it a couple of times on commercial stations it just needs Radio 1 support now! And I agree about 'Carry Out', baffling how it's doing so well - it's so bland!

I know I can rely on you to agree with everything I feel. Carry Out is just a non-entity of a track.

Christina is releasing? :o I think she'll flop, sadly. No hype around her return at all, haven't seen her on any music channels or heard her on the radio either.

There's been quite a lot of hype, and it was the most added song in America, all year, or something like that. It's pretty big, I reckon it's going to make quit a big dent on the charts.

worst song of the year : gypsy.

erm what christina song?

I think Gypsy is an awesome song! I find it quite sweet and relaxing.

I actually can't think of a song that got really popular that I've detested so far this year. I guess my least favourite popular one at the moment is Hot. I find it so boring.

I love the chorus from Carry Out, although I do find when listening to the song, I spend the verses just waiting for the chorus, if that makes sense. It's similar to Lady Gaga's Lovegame actually. The only reason to listen to the song is for the syncopation in the chorus, which is very catchy, but you have to endure 30 seconds of the song to hear it again, so it gets boring.

I want Pendulum to be #1 when it comes out in May. Fingers crossed!!

I'm glad there's a load of new songs climbing up iTunes though. The top 10 needs a massive clearout.

Worst song of the year (and still will be at the end of the year): Pass Out

:puke2:

Worse than "Sexy Bitch", "Boom Boom Pow", anything by Dizzee Rascal, and anything else that I didn't like

'TiK ToK' is fantastic, but as someone said, it's 2009.

Anyway, it's the worst song of the year because it's basically using the backing track of INXS' timeless 'Need You Tonight' in a lazy way, with some talentless tramp just adding a lame rap over the top. It's taken unoriginality way too far now.

it follows only the glee songs for artist laziness!! :P

Lots of new releases on Sunday:

Kelis

Professor Green

Kate Nash

Selena Gomez

The Futureheads

Christina Aguilera (we think)

Cascada (maybe)

Paul Weller too but I think he'll be mainly a physical seller.

And on Monday also MGMT - Flash Delirium from album downloads. (The single is on iTunes but you can't buy it )

i purchased flash delirium last weekend there - probably will flop tho, isn't very commercial like kids or time to pretend!! :(

ohh so OMG may actually not hit #1!

i think its airplay/exposure is only peaking now though, radio 1 have just alisted it and the video has been on for around 2/3 weeks!!prob will miss the top spot due to the new releases in the next 2 weeks, i predict it will peak in the charts this week but could increase in sales next if that makes any sense?!

Probably because the video hasn't been released yet. :P

So she's releasing a lead single on the back of a few plays on commercial radio? It's out soon and there's not a video or Radio 1 behind it? :o I hope she's got tons of promo.

Worst song of the year = Jedward 'Under Pressure' or have you all forgotton the horrors that hit #2 in the UK chart in February? :D

Interesting list of new releases:

Kelis

The video only started to receive airplay last week. Not entirely sure how this will go - the style of the song is very 2009. If it was released this time last year it might've been heading for no. 1!!! The British music buying public can be so fickle at times.

Professor Green

Whilst I never expected Jason Derulo, Tinie Tempah or Scouting For Girls to hit no. 1 I fully expect to see Professor Green no. 1 this time next week. Personally I think it's that hilariously bad, it's good. Plus if it gets people interested in INXS 'Need You Tonight' ( ) then all the better for it.

Kate Nash

Well it looked set to bomb earlier this week when released to iTunes. I don't really see how putting the release back one week will make any difference. If it was popular it would've taken off on Monday, surely? This might miss the top 10 next week.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez just fades into the endless list of solo US female artists who attempt at having a successful career but just don't cut it. You're either a Rihanna/Pink/Madonna or a Lumidee/Monica/Keri Hilson. I see Selena more of the latter. Oh, and don't be fooled by that Pre-Order chart. Alex Gardner was no. 1 a fortnight ago and look what happened there.

The Futureheads

The Futureheads have been A-listed on Radio 1 which straight away suggests this will be a hit. I reckon top 20 is roughly where this song will peak - physical sales might make a difference.

Christina Aguilera (we think)

Having heard the song, I wasn't particularly impressed. Another "lead" single that sounds like album filler rather than the big comeback single. 'Keeps Getting Better' failed to go top 10. I suspect this will too.

Cascada (maybe)

This better not do an 'Evacuate The Dancefloor'. Cascada really should leave this type of music to Lady GaGa. GaGa's singles are gnerally much better and she puts far more effort into her music videos. What's the most interesting Cascada video you've seen. Male models wearing globes over their heads is hardly groundbreaking. -_-

Paul Weller too but I think he'll be mainly a physical seller.

Now I know that Paul Weller is one those artists I can imagine most posters on Buzzjack hating (for the obvious reasons he's male, he's over 30 years of age, he isn't pop). I think 'No Tears To Cry' is excellent and if he could make the UK top 20 with 'Have You Made Up Your Mind' in 2008 then I really hope this Northern Soul inspired track can make the top 10.

And on Monday also MGMT - Flash Delirium from album downloads. (The single is on iTunes but you can't buy it )

I've still not heard MGMT's new single which probably doesn't bode well even if the song is brilliant.

Lol, have you seen how many of their A-listed songs flopped this year? It means nothing really.

May I make an utterance which may start a trend on the boards - is this another - WEEK OF DEATH??!?!

Lol, have you seen how many of their A-listed songs flopped this year? It means nothing really.

The last futureheads lead single was - the beginning of the twist - which was alisted by radio 1 as well (and only to rightly as it was a brillant record) and only peaked at around no20 - the futureheads are more of an album band and since we are not in the midst of a Britpop wave 3 revival (i predict it will come around 2013-15) it will do well to hit the top 20!!

Jesus do I hate it when Buzzjack members go on a bitch fest. Judt enjoy what you enjoy...it's not life or death when it comes to the chart. Professor Green isn't a chav imo. You guys are just saying that cos of his accent...he could be a very nice person for all you know.

Exciting times next week though, lots of new songs great songs. Hope Acapella and I need You Tonight do well...

Hate hate hate Rockstar 101. She should've gone with Te Amo!

Don't think she's released it. It's just that Slash is on it, and he's released an album this week...

Yeah, why all the hate?

I know yous don't like some artists and songs but don't moan about them getting more success than ones you like.

I think Te Amo will be released as a single in the UK, it's currently outperforming Rockstar 101 (feat. Slash), Te Amo is at #243.
