I won't be voting again, even though I now agree with the concept, I just wanted to say good call on not revealing who is banned yet. I think that's where it went wrong last month.

 

Apart from a song by that awful group that has leaked today, I couldn't think of anything to ban anyway.

Don't see why you can't change, the banlist isn't really that serious, but you'll have to tell me what song you're taking a vote away from.

Not a fan of Scissor Sisters personally, the new Royksopp/Robyn track also leaked today but she can't be sent this month anyway so nothing to worry about there!

Well yesterday, at least. Casey may have uploaded an awfully cringeworthy video of him dancing to it on her website. :lol:

 

Neither of those would make great BJSC entries, but one is thankfull banned anyway.

I can't complain about the songs, but I'm not a fan of them being revealed as they're banned. There seemed to be a bit of minor upset over people taking their discussions a bit far over what to ban, I didn't really notice it the first time.

One dot is to close it, 2 - to open to view what's there, without detail, and 3 - for opening the box fully. Minimum->maximum. I didn't get that straight away as well at first!

I think they're vile in all honesty. (Well except maybe that song with the amazing black screen video where they're playing table tennis - can't remember what it's called :() but 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' is EASILY one of the most overrated pieces of crap i've heard the last decade. Awful.

Agree completely, definitely one of the most irritating songs of the noughties. I feel like they're the sort of band that I should love but they've just never clicked at all for some reason. I'm not vaguely interested in hearing their new material. I would say that they're perhaps too camp for my tastes but I love Alcazar so that can't be it :lol: I guess I just don't like their music full stop :(

scissor sisters are fun <3 one of the better pop acts around despite being so annoyingly camp. their first album will > anything they ever do after though.

For the record I'm now trying to decide which three from a (not so) shortlist of 11 songs to nominate for the ban list!

Alcazar aren't being fake though, Andreas (the lead singer) really is that camp/constantly cheerful (at least in every interview/performance I've seen!) Either way I much prefer them to Scissor Sisters, ok Alcazar are more manufactured but I just prefer the music, maybe because it's not shoved down my throat every 2 minutes on commercial radio a la Scissors? :lol:

A great assessment as I always thought Boney M were bloody awful bar Rasputin (and their lead singer never sung on the records, he was a model/dancer - it was producer/songwriter Frank Farian all along - and he repeated the same trick with the equally awful Milli Vanilli a decade later!); and Abba were largely brilliant with their album tracks frequently far superior than their biggest hits which have been overplayed to death.
