Have Radio 1 supported Faithless since they released 'Mass Destruction' in 2004? I know they've done nothing chart wise, and this new single is awful so I'm baffled as to why it's A-listed.

Asda FM leading the way :lol: Tbf it's AATW's fault as usual, so I was expecting them to mess it up.

 

Yeah, they also hammered both Release Me & I Need You Now, big Agnes fans :lol: and it's definitely not an AATW/Asda deal or anything as they never play Inna...

So they playlist Justin Bieber and the crap new Rihanna song yet they snub SEB, Adam and Alexandra.

I'm undecided on their new single, but most people consider it a return to form, as it seems more like oldskool Faithless rather than the more alternative sounds they have been producing these last few years. Will check my Playlist archive ;)

Ok so Faithless:

 

Mass Destruction was A-listed

I Want More was B-listed

Insomnia 2005 was ignored, but not sure it was actually a single

Why Go was ignored

Bombs was B-listed

Music Matters was ignored

 

So, a bit hit and miss. Dance did have a bigger share on the A-list back in 2004, so i'm surprised to see them A-listed again, although they had none on the A-list last week so the competition is weak atm.

Finally heard Iyaz - Solo for the first time. Interesting choice of sample (Again by Janet Jackson) but I really like it, it's chilled and summery ^_^

Lets hope is means attack of the killer fans who will try every trick in the book to make sure these act get a high chart position.The playlist is not the be all and end all plus it has had some terrible songs of late.It is just a shame that Iyaz, Jason Derulo, Justin Bieber are considered playlist worthy when Lemar, Alex and Sabrina are not.I suppose Grime music is the template now for UK black acts.

I think, with heavy video airplay, All Night Long will go top 10 - possibly top 5.

There's better choices than both.

 

In terms of your personal choice yes, but with it already doing so well on itunes, i think they would be hard pushed to make a better choice.

 

I think it's the best choice actually. I love photographs but not sure it would make a great single.

 

I can't believe Alexandra has been ignored, it's so much better than broken heels.

 

Not surprised at SEB not being there, it's the dullest piece of crap from 2010 so far.

Thats more like it of course All Night Long will do well it is such a good song.Not wanting to blow my own horn but I think even if I sang it it would go Top 10.We need to wait for the video to come out and I am sure Alex has good promo.

Lets hope Adam and Sophie when they release ca do well also.

We go through this every week. -_- These are very rare exceptions, and I am pretty much certain Gabriella would have done better than just scraping the top 10 and falling down the chart like a rock had she had the support.

People are saying that Alexandra is being ignored, but it's not out until 17th May so I'd say she still has a chance next week

You might not like Justin Bieber or the new Rihanna song, but both artists are doing pretty well chart wise

 

I am not surpised Alexandra isn't on yet, they will wait until the video is out. As has been said, radio 1 support isn't everything, many artists do fine without it, and many with it still bomb in the charts.

 

SEB probably will NEVER be playlisted by radio 1 again unless she gets a number 1 (which doesn't drop like a bomb).
