Wow...just, wow.

This is really a stand-out track on The Element Of Freedom. Such an amazing track. I instantly clicked with the song when I heard it. Easily, Alicia's best song to date.

It's not your usual R&B ballad, it's distinctive. It has such a cool feel to it...dramatic yet subtle. it makes me feel really calm but also really strangely sad.

Alicia Keys constantly awes me.

She really is a true artist.

This song should be a top ten hit for her without a doubt. Anything lower is a farce to be honest. If the chart went my way, this song would be #1 for many weeks. :P

But anyway, where will this song peak?

Have a listen to the song.

The song is released on 24th May.

Top 20 at best, although I think it's a GREAT song.

Well you've done a ridiculous poll. The options should've been:

#1

Top 5

Top 10

Top 20

Top 40

Or something similar. Not a big gap from top 10 to top 40. I voted top 10, anyway.

I think this could go top 3, possibly #1 (although unlikely) in the longrun, also hanging around for a long time and becoming her signature track. This track has had such a huge impact and I've not heard anyone say a bad word about it, and it's also amazing.

If this was lead single it'd have been #1 probably. Unfortunately alot of people will have the album and/or cherry picked this, and I can see it probably charting before the release date ruining a high peak. :(

#16, i'd say.

Top 5. I think that's more of what I wish though. It deserves to be huge. It's quite atmospheric and anthemic, it should have lead the era (but no complaints from me as this era has been perfect for her career in the UK). If it had led the era, with the XF performance and stuff, I'm pretty certain it could have been a pretty big number 1 for her. (Providing itunes didn't f*** up like they did too -_-) But I think it won't do as well as it deserves to, as her album has sold immensely for her.

I dunno actually. This is a REALLY hard one to predict...

I think Top 20, not just because I don't get the hype, but it's getting more airplay now, and it's not really making a massive impact - I can't see it suddenly getting a massive push into the Top 10...
I'm SO bored of this song. :( This, Empire State, Doesnt Mean Anything and Put It In A Love Song got old reaaaaaally quickly imo. I'd prefer 'Unthinkable (I'm Ready)' which is probably my favourite on the album .

Well, it's not 'infected' with rap, so that makes me like it more than some of the recent R&B...

T10 perhaps.

BTW, I already have total sales for it of ~30k...

Went for top 10. Similar peak to DMA.

And TactiX, your sig is pretty cool. :D I see you've referenced Not Myself Tonight and kinda Rated R too. :P

It barely even feels like an R&B song, it's almost like a lost 80's pop classic found in a vault somewhere and brought to life 25 years later with a contemporary shine. It's easily my favourite Alicia Keys song and after god knows how many listens since I first heard in last December, I'm still yet to ever get bored of it - stunning song, I really hope it gets the peak, or at least total sales/attention that it deserves.

Thanks.

I voted Top 40, but I would've gone for Top 20 if there had been an option to...
Should peak at #1 and stay there for months and months. However more realistically, I think it can go #11 - #15 as long as there is a physical CD. If not, it might peak around #18-#19 and hang around for a while.

should have been no1 but this is single no3 now and could go top10 just if theres enough promo.didnt think she was overly good looking until she was on Wossy a few months back but wow when she was on that!!

How reliable is The Box Top 10 videos? I noticed this went straight to no. 1 in their daily top 10 countdown. I suspect they've also had #1 videos that failed to go top 10 when released?

I personally think it's fantastic - easily the best single so far from this era, imo, although that's becuase I've become so increasingly bored of hearing "New Yoooorrrrrkk" every so often on the music channels. I'd love to see this track manage to get into the top 10 but I reckon it'll be top 20 (even though it's not an option so vote top 40 by default).

Most teenagers in the UK are still loving 'ESOM' too much to care about a new Alicia Keys track.

the new single has been top 200 on itunes since the album was released - anyone have sales data for it?

I think top 10, I think it could suffer due to ESOMs success

Great song mind  I just hope it doesnt get overplayed and I cant stand it any more
